<p>St. Joseph’s College Library is one of the oldest private government-aided autonomous degree college libraries in Bengaluru. It is a well-stocked library that serves the needs of more than 7,965 undergraduate, postgraduate, and research-level staff and students.</p>
<p>The library regularly subscribes to seventy-seven national and international journals, periodicals, and magazines, along with fifteen daily newspapers. It is fully automated and has a spacious reading hall that can accommodate two hundred and fifty users at any point in time.</p>

<h2>Library Technology and Resources</h2>
<p>The library operations are managed by the latest version of "Koha Integrated Library Management System Software." The library is upgraded with Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) technology.</p>
<p>The library is equipped with modern facilities and resources in both print and electronic forms, including CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMs, video cassettes, books, and journals. It also houses the Galileo Digital Learning Centre (GDLC).</p>
<p>The library follows the Dewey Decimal Scheme of classification, AACR-II cataloguing code, and MARC-21 format for bibliographic data. Books are arranged on the shelves in numerical order from 000-999.</p>

<p>Membership is open to Fathers, faculty members, research scholars, students, and support staff of the College.
