Atlantic Technological University History
ATU began in 2022, after a merger between the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT), Institute of Technology, Sligo (IT Sligo), and the Letterkenny Institute of Technology. It became the 4th technological university in Ireland, after TU Dublin, Munster Technological University, and the Technological University of the Shannon.
