Sungkyunkwan University has two campuses Humanities and Social Sciences Campus. Both campuses are equipped with facilities that are considered conducive to learning. At the Natural Sciences campus, located in Suwon. Even on-campus dormitories are offered by the institution to its students. Humanities and Social Sciences campus, situated in Seoul, offers 10 dormitories and housing facilities whereas the Natural Sciences campus offers five dormitories.
The institution maintains partnerships with about 653 universities and has agreements with 21 overseas institutions for offering dual-degree programs.
The institute is home to 22,338 students including more than 3,000 international.
History
The University was founded in the year 1398 by the Joseon Dynasty, and was later restructured and reorganized into a university in the late 19th century. Since then, it has expanded its course offerings and reputation which has been attributed to strong research output, numerous influential graduates, and a close partnership with Samsung. Sungkyunkwan University is one of the premier universities of the country which has consistently maintained its reputation at an international level too.
