University of Agricultural Sciences - [UAS]

All students are required to live in the College Hostels including Girls’ Hostels with separate arrangements for Post Graduate and Under Graduate students. The Boys and Girls Hostels are situated at GKVK, Chintamani, Mandya, Hassan & Chamarajanagara. The Chief Wardens are looking after the hostels. There is a common room with facilities like television with Cable facility, internet, Music room, indoor games room and a library having selected books, magazines and newspaper etc., besides courts to volley Ball, badminton, Basket Ball and Table Tennis in most of the Hostels. The Hostel Cafeteria is equipped with a refrigerator, Water Cooler, Solar, LPG Cooking, Job Computer facility, etc. Each Hostel Cafeteria is run and managed by the students on a “No Profit – No loss basis through Hostel Supervisory Committee. All students residing in the Hostels are to abide by Hostel Rules and Regulations.

UAS, Bangalore provides dedicated separate hostel facilities for girls and boys in all the campuses. In GKVK campus, separate hostels are available for UG, PG and PhD students. A separate International Student Hostel is available for international students studying in the University. The hostels are equipped with internet, a common TV hall, Music & recreation room and a library. Every Hostel has a kitchen and dedicated cooking staff. The food is provided to students on payment basis.

students from different countries are pursuing various programs at the UAS, Bangalore. In order to provide an apt academic environment, a foreign student’s center is established under the Directorate of Students Welfare, GKVK, Bangalore under the Chairmanship of the Dean (PGS). Two separate fully furnished hostel blocks are available to provide accommodation for individuals as well as students with families. The two faculty of the University serve as a Foreign Student Adviser and an Associate Foreign Student Adviser. They provide assistance to students in all aspects during their stay as students at the University.
