About the Institution
University of Hyderabad (UoH) is a public central university established in 1974, located in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, Telangana. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by NAAC with an ‘A+’ grade. The university is also designated as an Institute of Eminence (IoE) by the Government of India.
Ranked 18th in the NIRF University Category 2025. University of Hyderabad offers 200+ programs at Integrated, Postgraduate, and Doctoral levels. CUET-UG is used for admission to Integrated B.Sc–M.Sc and BA–MA programs.
CUET-PG is used for MA, M.Sc, and other postgraduate admissions. GATE is accepted for M.Tech, CAT for MBA, and NIMCET for MCA admissions. Several Ph.D. programs admit through UoH entrance tests and interviews (UGC/CSIR-NET qualified candidates are exempted).
