SSNC DU Admission FAQs 2026
Ques. Can students apply for the Extra-Curricular Activities or Sports quota directly through SSNC DU?
Ans. No, candidates cannot apply via SSNC DU. Admission through ECA and Sports quotas is done centrally by the University of Delhi. After you have taken CUET and have registered on the DU Admission portal, you can choose to apply for the ECA or Sports quota while filling out your preferences. They will be assigned to a college based on merit and the availability of seats.
Ques. Do international students need to apply for SSNC DU through the same admission portal?
Ans. No, international applicants do not need to apply via the CSAS portal. They are supposed to apply via the Foreign Students' Registry of the University of Delhi. The admission process for international students is separate from SSNC DU, and SSNC DU only accepts a candidate based on the recommendations and approvals of the FSR to ensure there is a uniform approach to all foreign students across DU.
Ques. Do I have to fill out a separate application form for SSNC if I have applied on the CSAS portal?
Ans. No. You will not have to fill out any other admission forms if you have applied on the DU CSAS portal, as it is a fully centralized process where applying through the DU CSAS portal will cover all participating colleges and SSNC. Students will only need to fill out separate forms for some colleges, with their own processes, such as St. Stephen's and Jesus & Mary College.
Ques. If I meet the ECA category, is my admission guaranteed in SSNC?
Ans. No, there is no guarantee of admission if you meet the ECA category. After a central merit list is prepared for the ECA, students must indicate their choice of college and course through the DU portal. Your final allotment will depend on your eligibility, your rank on the ECA merit list, and on the availability of seats at the SSNC college under ECA.
