Note: The shortlist of candidates for the interview in the MBA BM program is based only on XAT scores. The list of selected candidates will be published on the official website of the institute. See what Rakshit Kapoor, MBA BM student of 2023 batch has to say about Admission and Interview Experience at XLRI Delhi As per Rakshit Kapoor’s words, “XLRI is the oldest B-School in the country. I gave CAT, XAT and NMAT and converted a few new and baby IIMs from CAT and NMIMS, Mumbai from NMAT. XLRI was my last convert yet my best one. In terms of ranking, it was undoubtedly the best choice to make and I went for it. During my selection process, there was no GD round, but a PI was completely on the basis of my work experience and the points on my CV. One can prepare his/her own CV for the PI and be up-to-date with the current affairs to add inputs in the GD.” For more detailed review, Click here Popular Questions Asked: Ques. Can students with a non-business background apply for XLRI Delhi’s MBA programs? Ans. Yes. Students without a business background are entirely eligible to apply for XLRI Delhi’s MBA programs. The institute does not mandate prior management or commerce education; holding a bachelor’s degree in any discipline meets the basic requirement. MBA Admissions is based on the candidate’s performance in XAT (or GMAT/GRE where applicable), overall academic record, communication abilities, and profile. Ques. Does XLRI Delhi have any profile-based selection? Ans. No. XLRI Delhi does not offer a purely profile-based selection process. All applicants must qualify through standardized test scores such as XAT (primarily for Indian candidates) or GMAT/GRE (for certain categories). While a strong profile — including academics, work experience, extracurriculars, and achievements — can influence performance in the interview and contribute to the final merit calculation, it cannot replace the requirement for a valid entrance test score. Ques. Do candidates need to be physically present for the XLRI Delhi interview? Ans. The candidates located in India have to attend the interview physically at the pre-declared locations. However, for NRI candidates, remote interviews with video conferencing will be arranged. Ques. Is work experience preferable for admission to XLRI Delhi? Ans. XLRI Delhi does not require applicants to have prior work experience, and freshers are equally eligible. However, candidates with approximately 1–3 years of professional exposure may have a slight edge during the interview XLRI Delhi XAT Cutoff As per the XLRI Delhi XAT Cutoff 2025, candidates must meet an overall cutoff ranging from 91 percentile (for female candidate) to 96 percentile (for male candidates) to be shortlisted for the MBA BM program.
