In her words: “Admission to XIMB can be secured in 3 ways: CAT, XAT, and XGMT. The exams are held from November to January time frame and the admission forms open from around October goes on till January. The application form can be accessed from the website of the college, or other social media pages on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram can also redirect you to the link. The college usually has 50% reservation for Odiya domicile. After the exam, if you qualify for the cut off which is usually around the 85 percentile, you get an admission interview call letter from the college. XIM Bhubaneswar offers admission to its courses based on entrance exam scores, followed by WAT, GD & PI. The admission process for the courses at XIM Bhubaneswar are given below-
Candidates need to have passed a bachelor’s with at least 55% marks. The final selection to MBA courses is based on the candidate’s performance in the XAT/CAT/GMAT/XGMT as well as in the Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview (which factors in the past academic record and relevant work experience). The selected candidates will be informed by mail in the month of April 2026.
Candidates need to have passed bachelor’s with at least 55% marks, and at least 3 years of work experience. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in XAT/CAT/GMAT/XGMT, GD, Writing Ability Test, & Personal Interview, and will take into account the past academic record and relevant work experience.
*Note:
It may be noted that besides registering for XAT/CAT/GMAT, one has to apply (online) separately to XIM University. Application fees: INR 1800.
GD & PI will be held at Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata or Mumbai (if held offline).
Candidates will have to meet their own travel/stay expenses to attend the interview session.
XIMB Cutoff
XIMB accepts CAT/XAT/GMAT/XGMT to shortlist candidates for WAT & PI process. The cutoff is the same over the past three years for various categories of students. XIMB Cutoff for the exams accepted are given below-
