I am a student at AIIMS Raipur, so I will try sharing some advantages of joining my institution.
I wouldn’t recommend AIIMS Rishikesh over Patna or Raipur. The only favorable thing in regard to AIIMS Rishikesh is that it is located in the lap of nature. But over the years, its hype has somewhat died down partially because of constant issues with the administration. Also, the other AIIMS have seen an increase in their PG seats. AIIMS Patna and Raipur have excelled in other areas, and made up for their lack in terms of location.
The main hospital building of AIIMS Raipur was recently completed, and all the major departments have been shifted in the same. The faculty at AIIMS Raipur is as good as any other AIIMS, and academic excellence is given utmost priority. The attendance system is a bit strict, but it is totally up to the AIIMS standards.
The Trauma and Emergency is top notch at AIIMS Rishikesh, but that is of less importance for an MBBS student. The patient load has increased at AIIMS Raipur over the years. The students of AIIMS Raipur can join various cultural, literary and sports clubs. This helps in overall development and extracurricular achievement.
Thus, I would recommend AIIMS Raipur as a good institution for an MBBS, but even AIIMS Patna is a good choice.
AIIMS established in 2012 are mostly compared on secondary factors such as location, proximity to home, language, and reputation of the college among top rankers. Basically, it is personal preferences that make one AIIMS better than the other for someone. The cutoff and rankings should not only be taken into consideration while comparing and it is advisable to look at the bigger picture. During the early years of establishment, the top rankers preferred Jodhpur to Patna because of Bihar’s poor reputation. The subsequent batches followed the trend blindly and today too, AIIMS Jodhpur is preferable to AIIMS Patna. AIIMS Jodhpur is preferred by students from north or west India owing to the less distance from home. Additionally, the primary coaching belt lies in Kota and Delhi, making AIIMS Jodhpur a much preferable choice. Both the AIIMS pose no major language issues.
AIIMS Jodhpur enjoys a good location being an international tourist location, so you will get to experience a better college life than Patna, one of the dirtiest cities in India. The quality of life will be better for Jodhpur students.
So your first option should always be AIIMS Jodhpur followed by AIIMS Patna.
. After completing 4 years you'll eligible for placements in the same hospital . Highest package is around 50k (for contractual people) . More than half of the students gets placement in the same hospital
. There are around 30 - 40 teachers including tutors , Assistant professors . Most of the facilities are helpful . There are four exams which are held in a year including 1st, 2nd terminals and Pre- proffessionals and Professionals
.The annual cultural fest of the AIIMS PATNA is Kaizen along with other fest like College foundation day, Saraswati Puja . There is a big library present in the college and it's free for Students . There are many sports and extracurricular activities takes place in college, also there is one annual sports event which is Zagon
. Facilities like Bed, table, chair , almirah, cupboard are provided in room along with free wifi in hostel . The food quality is average of hostel mess but few canteens are also available . After completion of the admission process the hostel room is allotted.
