The admission process for the two programs: MBA (Executive) and MBA (Business Analytics), is distinct, with its own specific requirements.
MBA for Working Professionals Admission
IIM Sambalpur Delhi Campus MBA (Executive) Eligibility Criteria is as follows:
- Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in any Discipline with 50% Marks
- Completed 3 Years of Full-time Managerial / Professional Experience as of the last date for Submission of Applications
Selection Criteria
- Candidates are shortlisted based on their Eligibility Criteria
- Shortlisted Candidates are required to submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP) not exceeding 2000 Words and appear for a personal interview.
- The final merit list is prepared based on the Candidate's Overall Performance in SOP, PI, Academic Qualification and Diversity. The weightage for each section is as follows:

The admission process for MBA Business Analytics includes three steps.
CAT-based Shortlisting (Stage 1)
- All candidates who have appeared for CAT 2025 and have selected IIM Sambalpur as one of their preferences are considered based on a pre-determined minimum percentile both in each section as well as overall, in CAT 2025.
Since the CAT 2025 minimum percentiles are not published yet, the percentile requirement of CAT 2024 for MBA-BA 2025-27 batch was as follows:

Pre-Personal Interview Shortlisting (Stage 2)
- For all the candidates shortlisted in Stage 1 and who later completed and submitted the online application form, a Pre-PI Score will be calculated out of 80 as follows:
- CAT score = 40
- Class X = 3
- Class XII = 3
- Graduation = 4
- Work Experience = 20
Note: The scaled CAT score instead of the CAT percentile is used for calculating the Pre-PI score, which is calculated as the CAT score of the candidate divided by the maximum CAT score among all the candidates.
