Among all three colleges, Khalsa College is better since it has good infrastructure and better faculties. It is also a co-ed college and the crowd at SGTB Khalsa College is much better than Daulat Ram College.
It’s always better to choose an institute near your home. You can save the time you will need to spend during travel otherwise. If distance isn’t an issue for you, you can choose Jesus and Mary College.
Your preference order should be Kirori Mal>Ramjas>IP>Daulat Ram.
- KMC and Ramjas are both situated at the heart of the north campus. Both of these institutes are also equivalent in terms of the academics and faculty base for Economics Hons. KMC has a slight edge over Ramjas in terms of a better student crowd.
- IP College for girls is also a good option for girls with strict and good faculties.
- Although Daulat Ram is also situated at the North campus, the faculty base is not that good as compared to the other three colleges.
Both these colleges are good options for pursuing a BCom honors. The quality of academics offered at these colleges is decent. However, being situated at the North campus, Daulat Ram has an edge over Gargi College. The faculty base is great at DRC. You will get decent exposure along with the advantages of being on the north campus.

- Kamala Nehru is situated near ISR. So, it has a good atmosphere. Daulat Ram also has a decent academic atmosphere, is situated at the north campus.
- Comparably DRC is more reputed.
- Being a part of the North campus has its own perks. You will get to be a part of general DU societies. You will get to have access to many colleges and interactions.
Compared to Daulat Ram College and Indraprastha College, Kamala Nehru College is a better option for pursuing an Economics honors degree. It is way better than IP. It is also more reputed than the others. However, you should do your own research on the institutes, by talking to the current students.

Pros:
- Daulat Ram College is situated on the north campus. So, you will get to be a part of this well-renowned campus.
- You will get good exposure due to the location of the college. Many competitions and seminars are organized throughout the year on the north campus. There are also many renowned societies and cells. You can join them.
- Attendance is not a big issue in DRC as compared to other girls' colleges under DU.
Cons:
- The infrastructure is not good.
- Like most Govt. institutes, the administration conducts poorly.
Compared to Kamala Nehru, Daulat Ram College is a better choice. It is situated on the North Campus of DU among the reputed colleges like SRCC, Hindu, Miranda, Kirorimal, etc. The campus is great. There’s always some event going on.
Hudson Lane, where the college is situated, is a great place. There are many eateries around the campus.
DRC is located near the metro station Vishwavidyalay. So, you won’t face any transportation problems.
Among these institutes, Daulat Ram Collge has a great Commerce faculty base. The professors are well-experienced and dedicated. They help students with their doubts even after college hours.
It is situated on the north campus. It is a fun place to be. There is always some event going on. Also, Daulat Ram has a great fest called Manjari.
Gargi College and Indraprastha College for Women are also good alternatives. If you clear the required cutoff for all these colleges, your preference order should be Daulat Ram>I.P>Gargi.
Between Lady Shri Ram College and Daulat Ram College, the former is the better option for pursuing English honors. Some of my friends attended Lady Shri Ram College and according to them, the faculty base for English Department is great. The cutoff for LSR College is also more compared to Daulat Ram. You will definitely have an excellent time studying there.
