The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) PG 2026 have started from today, i.e., March 06, 2026, in CBT mode. The Yoga paper is now over, which was conducted in the 1st shift (9:00 am - 10: 30 am). The Sports - Physiology, Biochemistry, Nutrition, Biomechanics, etc, Sanskrit, Urdu, and Textile Design exam has concluded in the 2nd shift (12:30 pm - 2:00 pm).
The CUET PG 2026admit cards have been released for the exams scheduled from 6 to 10 March 2026.
The CUET PG will be conducted from March 06 to March 27, 2026, for 157 subjects across 44 shifts (~3 shifts per day) in 292 centres.
The candidates have to reach the exam centre 90 minutes before the commencement of the exam. The exam city details have been released through the city intimation slip.
The question paper will be available in both English and Hindi, except for the language papers.
The M. Tech./Higher Sciences papers will be in English only.
The Acharya papers will be in the Sanskrit language only, except for the Indian Knowledge System and Baudha Darshana.
The exam will be held for a duration of 90 minutes with a marking scheme of +4 for a correct answer and -1 for a wrong answer as per the latest exam pattern.
This year, 4,11,366 candidates registered for the CUET PG 2026, which is around 0.16% lower than the previous year.

The NTA has started the CUET PG 2026 application process from 14 December 2025. Candidates can register on the official website at nta.ac.in/ .The last date for registration is 23 January 2026 by 11:50 pm. Candidates can now check the live updates of the registration process, fee structure, exam pattern, eligibility etc.
The correction window will be live between 28 January 2026 to 30 January 2026.
The Examination shall be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only.
A candidate may select up to FOUR question papers with each paper comprising 75 questions.
The duration of the exam will be 90 minutes with each correct answer getting a +4 and each incorrect answer will get –1.
Last year, Total CUET PG registrations were around 4.12 lakhs which was lower than the 2024 registrations. The attendance rate in CUET PG 2025 reached 79.97% with 5,23,032 candidates appearing, which was higher than previous years despite fewer registrations. The e-Admit Card would be issued provisionally to the candidates through the NTA website subject to the fulfillment of the eligibility conditions and receipt of the prescribed application fee by NTA.

Exam Pattern
CUET PG exam pattern is published by NTA on the official website at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG. Students can log on to the official website and check CUET PG exam pattern from the CUET PG information bulletin.
The CUET PG question paper medium will be bilingual across all the streams, i.e., Science, Humanities, Acharya, Languages, MTech, etc.
The CUET question paper for the subjects under the Acharya domain will be in Sanskrit. Students will be allowed to appear for a total of 4 paper codes from the list of available subjects.
CUET PG structure of examination includes a total of 75 questions to be attempted within 90 minutes.
Last year CUET PG exam duration was reduced to 105 minutes. Later, it was further reduced to 90 minutes.

Ans. NCERT books alone are not sufficient for CUET PG preparation, particularly for postgraduate-level exams. Although NCERT books are useful for developing strong conceptual foundations, aspirants must also refer to graduation-level books and CUET PG question banks for better understanding and exam preparation.
Ques. Do I need to refer to different books for different CUET PG subjects?
Ans. Yes, it is always advisable to refer to subject-specific books for CUET PG. As the CUET PG syllabus differs for different courses, referring to different books according to your subject or specialization will enable you to cover the syllabus more precisely and perform better in the exam.
Ques. How many books are sufficient for CUET PG preparation?

CUET PG Exam Pattern 2026

The NTA has released the CUET PG 2025 Result on May 6, 2025 on the official website. Candidates can download the scorecard on the official website exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG with their application number and date of birth. CUET PG Result is prepared based on the final answer key, released on May 6. The CUET PG scorecard will only be valid for the 2025-2026 session.
The CUET PG in 2025 was conducted for admission in 191 universities, providing more than 4.5 lakh PG seats in programs such as MA, MSc, MBA, MCA, etc. Top universities such as DU and BHU provide 13,000+ and 10,000+ seats individually.
The expected CUET PG 2025 cut-off for top courses can be between 240 to 270 marks, whereas moderate courses can expect cut-offs between 180 to 220 marks based on category and course demand.
More than 5.2 lakh candidates appeared for CUET PG 2025. The Exam was held in various shifts at 300+ cities, and NTA will apply normalization to determine percentiles in the CUET PG Result.
In CUET PG 2025, out of 654019 registered candidates, 523032 candidates actually appeared for the exam. CUET PG exam was conducted over 16 days and 43 socres.

CUET PG is conducted in 3 shifts with different levels of difficulty, the NTA uses a process of normalization to make it fair. CUET PG 2025 Counselling
The CUET PG 2025 Counselling is conducted separately by each participating university. Candidates have to apply individually to each university that they want admission into. After downloading the CUET PG results and ScoreCard, candidates must visit the official website of each university they are willing to get admitted to and apply to check their Counselling schedule, eligibility criteria, course-wise cut-offs, and Application form. Candidates must then apply separately on the admission portal of each university. Fill out their course preference, academic details, and upload the required documents. The universities then release the CUET PG course-wise merit list based on the CUET PG normalized score, Category, and seat availability. Some Colleges have multiple rounds of merit lists.
If any candidate is selected, they receive a provisional offer letter, they can pay the admission fee, upload the documents, and confirm their seat in the university.
