Cut-offs

NIMCET 2026 Qualifying Cutoff Declared

The NIMCET 2026 qualifying cutoff has been officially declared. The result was announced on June 29, 2026, at nimcet.admissions.nic.in.

General, OBC-NCL, and EWS candidates need a minimum of 240 out of 480 marks to qualify. The cutoff details are available on the official portal.

Key Cutoff Facts

  • The qualifying cutoff for General, OBC-NCL, and EWS is 240 out of 480 marks.
  • Scoring zero or negative marks in Mathematics disqualifies a candidate from the merit list, even if the total score exceeds 240.
  • NIT Trichy is the most competitive NIMCET institute. Its Open category Round 1 closing rank was 47 in 2025.
  • MNNIT Allahabad final-round closing rank tightened from 180 in 2024 to 150 in 2025 — a shift of 30 ranks.
  • Round 1 NIT-wise closing ranks will be declared on July 6, 2026.
  • Pay the partial admission fee within July 7–10, 2026 to hold a Round 1 allotted seat. Missing this window cancels the seat.
  • NIMCET 2026 counselling runs in three rounds plus a Special Round for vacant seats in late July 2026.

Category-Wise Qualifying Cutoff

The qualifying cutoff varies by category. The marks below are the minimum required to appear on the merit list.

Category Qualifying Cutoff (out of 480)
General, OBC-NCL, EWS 240
SC and ST 216
PwD 192

Important Dates for NIMCET 2026 Counselling

Round 1 counselling registration and choice filling is open from June 30 to July 3, 2026. NIT-wise Round 1 closing ranks will be published on July 6, 2026.

Event Date
Result announcement June 29, 2026
Round 1 registration and choice filling June 30 – July 3, 2026
Round 1 NIT-wise closing ranks declaration July 6, 2026
Partial admission fee payment window July 7–10, 2026
Special Round for vacant seats July 22–24, 2026

Qualifying Marks vs Admission Cutoff

Two separate cutoffs apply at different stages of the process. The first is the qualifying cutoff — the minimum marks in the exam to appear on the merit list.

The second is the admission cutoff — the closing rank at each NIT generated through counselling rounds. Clearing the qualifying cutoff does not guarantee a seat. A candidate's rank must also fall within the closing rank of the chosen NIT for their category.

Previous Year Cutoff Trends

NIT Trichy has the tightest admission cutoff. Its Open category Round 1 closing rank was 47 in 2025.

MNNIT Allahabad final-round closing rank tightened by 30 ranks between 2024 and 2025. Use 2025 data to plan counselling choices.

Official Portal

The official cutoff and counselling portal is nimcet.admissions.nic.in. All results, closing ranks, and counselling updates are published there.

NIMCET Qualifying Cutoff: Recent Years

The qualifying cutoff for NIMCET has remained unchanged for five consecutive years. The conducting body applies a fixed percentage rule for each category.

Year General / OBC-NCL / EWS (out of 480) SC / ST (out of 480) PwD (out of 480)
2026 240 216 192
2025 240 216 192
2024 240 216 192
2023 240 216 192
2022 240 216 192

The fixed percentage rule is 50% for General, 45% for SC and ST, and 40% for PwD. What changes year to year is the NIT-wise admission cutoff, which depends on competition and seat availability during counselling.

Qualifying Cutoff and NIT Seat Guarantee

Clearing the qualifying cutoff does not guarantee a NIT seat. It only places a candidate on the NIMCET merit list.

Admission to a specific NIT depends on the candidate's rank against that NIT's closing rank for their category during counselling. For example, NIT Trichy closed at rank 47 for the Open category in 2025 Round 1, so only the top 47 Open category candidates got a seat there.

NIMCET 2026: Important Dates

The qualifying cutoff has been announced, and counselling is currently in progress. Missing the fee payment window after seat allotment cancels the seat automatically.

Event Date Status

Factors Affecting NIMCET 2026 Cutoff

The NIMCET admission cutoff shifts each year at every NIT. Several factors drive these changes.

  • Total candidates: More candidates in the race means tighter closing ranks at top NITs. A small rise in appearing candidates can push ranks at preferred institutes by 10 to 30 positions.
  • Paper difficulty: A tougher paper brings average scores down, spreading ranks more broadly and giving more candidates a chance at mid-tier NITs. An easier paper concentrates scores at the top, tightening closing ranks everywhere.
  • Number of seats: If a NIT adds MCA seats or a new specialised programme, its closing rank can relax. A seat reduction tightens it. New IIITs joining the counselling also absorb demand from mid-ranked candidates.
  • Category reservation: Reserved-category closing ranks are always higher rank numbers than Open at every NIT. SC and ST closing ranks at NIT Raipur were 3,365 and 7,093 in 2025 Round 1, compared to 548 for the Open category.
  • Counselling round: Closing ranks at top NITs like MNNIT Allahabad and NIT Warangal tend to tighten from Round 1 to the final round. At lower-ranked NITs, the final round can be more relaxed as candidates move up to better choices.
  • Mathematics disqualification rule: Candidates who score zero or below in Mathematics are removed from the merit list. This reduces the eligible pool and shifts ranks for all remaining candidates.

NIMCET 2026: Category-Wise Qualifying Cutoff

The official NIMCET 2026 qualifying cutoff was declared on June 29, 2026. The minimum marks to appear on the merit list are shown below.

Category Minimum Qualifying Marks (out of 480)
General 240
OBC-NCL 240
EWS 240
SC 216
ST 216
PwD 192

Mathematics disqualification rule: Scoring zero or negative marks in the Mathematics section removes a candidate from the merit list. This applies even if the total marks are at or above the qualifying cutoff.

Tie-breaking order: If two candidates share the same total score, the rank is decided by Mathematics marks first, then Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, then Computer Awareness marks. If all section marks match, the older candidate gets the better rank.

NIMCET 2026 Round 1 Closing Ranks

The 2026 Round 1 NIT-wise closing ranks will be declared on July 6, 2026. The table below shows 2025 Round 1 closing ranks from the official counselling portal.

Use the 2025 data as a reference until the 2026 information is released. Final-round closing ranks are typically 20 to 80 ranks tighter than Round 1 at top NITs.

Institute Open OBC-NCL Gen-EWS SC ST
NIT Tiruchirappalli 47 156 74 970 2,268
MNNIT Allahabad 180 292 211 1,843 3,454

NIT Delhi, NIT Patna, NIT Meghalaya, IIIT Bhopal, and IIIT Vadodara also participate. Their closing ranks are typically more relaxed than the institutes shown above.

NIMCET Cutoff 2026: Round-Wise Analysis

NIMCET counselling runs in three standard rounds plus a Special Round. Closing ranks shift between rounds as candidates accept or decline allotted seats.

Here is how Round 1 versus the final round compared at key institutes in 2025.

Institute 2025 Round 1 Closing Rank (Open) 2025 Final Round Closing Rank (Open) Shift
NIT Tiruchirappalli 47 ~48 Stable (1 rank)
MNNIT Allahabad 180 150 30 ranks tighter
NIT Warangal 215 184 31 ranks tighter
NIT Raipur 548 625 77 ranks more relaxed

NIT Trichy’s closing rank barely moved across all rounds — it fills up from Round 1 itself. At MNNIT Allahabad and NIT Warangal, later rounds pulled in more candidates who had initially taken a lower-preference seat.

NIT Raipur became easier to access by the final round because candidates who had accepted a Raipur seat earlier upgraded to a better NIT in subsequent rounds.

NIMCET Previous Year Cutoff Trends

The table below shows Open category final-round closing ranks at top NIMCET institutes from 2022 to 2025. A lower rank number means a more competitive institute.

Institute 2022 (approx.) 2023 (approx.) 2024 2025
NIT Tiruchirappalli ~55 ~52 ~52 ~48
MNNIT Allahabad ~210 ~200 180 150
NIT Warangal ~250 ~240 238 184
NIT Raipur ~800 ~760 736 625

Note: 2022 and 2023 figures are based on counselling trend data. 2024 and 2025 figures are from official NIMCET counselling records.

Key takeaways from the four-year trend:

  • NIT Trichy: The closing rank tightened by about 7 ranks from 2022 to 2025. Demand stays consistently extreme at this institute.
  • MNNIT Allahabad: The closing rank tightened by about 60 ranks over four years. This NIT attracts stronger competition every cycle.
  • NIT Warangal: The closing rank tightened by about 66 ranks from 2022 to 2025. A 54-rank shift happened between 2024 and 2025 alone.
  • NIT Raipur: The closing rank tightened by about 175 ranks from 2022 to 2025. Rising interest in MCA at NITs is drawing more qualified candidates to every institute in the list.

Will the NIMCET 2026 admission cutoff be tighter than 2025?

Based on the four-year trend, closing ranks at top NITs have tightened year over year. NIT Warangal shifted by 54 ranks between 2024 and 2025 alone.

If candidate numbers and paper difficulty remain similar in 2026, expect a modest further tightening at NIT Trichy and MNNIT Allahabad. The exact shift depends on this year’s difficulty level and total appearing candidates.

NIMCET 2026: Qualifying Marks vs Admission Cutoff

These are two separate thresholds. You must cross both to secure admission to a NIT.

NIMCET 2026: Qualifying vs Admission Cutoff

The qualifying cutoff for NIMCET 2026 is 240 out of 480 marks for the General category. Clearing this cutoff places a candidate on the NIMCET merit list.

The admission cutoff is different. It is the closing rank at a chosen NIT during counselling. A candidate's merit-list rank decides whether they fall within a NIT's closing rank for their category.

Here is a practical example. A score of 320 out of 480 might give a rank around 250. NIT Warangal's 2025 final-round Open closing rank was 184, so a rank of 250 would not get a seat there in the Open category. MNNIT Allahabad's 2025 final-round closing rank was 150, which is also out of reach at rank 250.

NIMCET 2026: Score vs Rank

The table below gives an indicative score-to-rank mapping based on the 2025 NIMCET score distribution. Use it to estimate a likely rank and target institutes accordingly.

Score Range (out of 480) Expected Rank (Open/General) Likely NIT Options
400 and above 1 – 50 NIT Tiruchirappalli
360 – 399 51 – 160 MNNIT Allahabad, NIT Delhi
320 – 359 161 – 320 NIT Warangal, NIT Kurukshetra
280 – 319 321 – 600 MANIT Bhopal, NIT Jamshedpur
250 – 279 601 – 900 NIT Raipur, NIT Agartala
240 – 249 901 – 1,500 NIT Patna, NIT Meghalaya, IIIT Bhopal, IIIT Vadodara
Below 240 Not on merit list (General)

These ranges are indicative. The actual rank depends on the difficulty of NIMCET 2026 and the total number of candidates who appear. Cross-check with the official rank list after the result at nimcet.admissions.nic.in.

Are OBC-NCL closing ranks different from Open category closing ranks?

Yes. OBC-NCL seats are reserved and carry a separate closing rank. The OBC-NCL closing rank is always a higher rank number than the Open category at every NIT. At NIT Trichy in 2025 Round 1, the Open category closed at rank 47. OBC-NCL closed at rank 156 — a gap of 109 ranks.

Can I upgrade my NIT in Round 2 after getting a Round 1 seat?

Yes. Candidates who receive a Round 1 seat can participate in Round 2 for an upgrade. The process allows them to select higher-preference institutes in subsequent rounds. The exact upgrade mechanism follows the official counselling schedule on the portal.

Can I Participate in Round 2 of NIMCET Counselling?

Yes, you can join Round 2 to try for a better NIT or programme. If you receive a new allotment in Round 2, your Round 1 seat is automatically cancelled.

Only opt for an upgrade if the Round 2 choice is genuinely better. If you do not get an upgrade in Round 2, your Round 1 seat is also gone.

What is the NIMCET 2026 Counselling Registration Fee?

The counselling registration fee is ₹1,000. This fee is non-refundable.

You pay it once at registration. It covers your participation across all counselling rounds including the Special Round.

How is the NIMCET Rank Decided When Two Candidates Have the Same Score?

Tie-breaking follows a fixed order. Mathematics section marks are checked first.

  • If Mathematics marks are equal, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning marks are used next.
  • Computer Awareness marks come after that.
  • If all section marks match, the older candidate receives the better rank.

Do IIIT Bhopal and IIIT Vadodara Admit Students Through NIMCET?

Yes. IIIT Bhopal and IIIT Vadodara participate in NIMCET counselling. Their closing ranks are typically more relaxed than mid-tier NITs like NIT Raipur and NIT Agartala.

NIMCET Result Previous Year Statistics

The number of students appearing in NIMCET has grown steadily — from around 20,000 in 2022 to over 25,000 by 2024–25, roughly 35% more applicants over three years. This rising competition has pushed closing ranks tighter at top institutes, especially NIT Trichy, which has stayed in the 47–52 band without any meaningful slack.

Seats also expanded sharply in 2025, from around 805 to 1,285, easing pressure slightly at the lower end of the rank list.

YearExam DateResult DateApprox. Candidates Appeared
2026June 6, 2026June 29, 2026~25,000–28,000 (official figure awaited)
2025June 8, 2025June 27, 2025~25,000+
2024June 8, 2024June 25, 2024~25,000–30,000
2023June 2023June 2023~22,000
2022June 2022June 2022~20,000

In 2026, the result arrived 23 days after the exam — slightly longer than the 2024 turnaround of 17 days, but well within the typical 3–4 week window. The closing rank trend below shows how competition has moved at the most sought-after institutes over the last three years.

NIT Trichy’s MCA remains by far the toughest seat nationally; all others have shown a tightening trend as well.

NIMCET 2026 Closing Ranks: Institute-Wise Trends

The table below lists the General category closing ranks for MCA admission at various NITs for 2025, 2024, and 2023. A dash (—) means the data for that year is not available.

How to Check NIMCET Result 2026

The rank card is available on nimcet.admissions.nic.in. Download the PDF before July 3, 2026 at 5:00 PM — the portal closes the rank card link after that. You need it for both counselling registration and physical document verification at your allotted institute.

  1. Go to nimcet.admissions.nic.in
  2. Click the Result / Rank Card link on the homepage
  3. Enter your Hall Ticket Number (User ID) and your registration password
  4. Complete the captcha and click Submit
  5. Your rank card opens as a PDF — check every detail: name, category, section marks, total score, AIR
  6. Click Download and save the file immediately; print at least two copies

If the portal is slow after the result announcement, try again during off-peak hours. For forgotten passwords, use the Forgot Password option on the login page. For issues that cannot be resolved through the portal, email helpdesknimcet26@nitt.edu with your hall ticket number.

What login credentials do I need to check the NIMCET 2026 result?

You need your Hall Ticket Number as the User ID and the password you set during NIMCET 2026 registration. If you have forgotten your password, click Forgot Password on the login page and reset it using your registered email or mobile number.

Until when can I download the NIMCET 2026 rank card?

The rank card download link stays open until July 3, 2026 at 5:00 PM. After that, the portal closes it. Download and save your rank card before this deadline — you need it for counselling registration and document verification at the allotted institute. This is the same deadline as choice filling, so handle both together.

NIMCET 2026 Rank Card Details

NIMCET does not issue a separate scorecard and rank card. Your marks, rank, and qualification status all appear on a single document called the rank card. Check every field the moment you download it — errors in name, date of birth, or category must be flagged to the helpdesk before counselling, not at the NIT gate.

If you spot an error in your name, date of birth, or category, email helpdesknimcet26@nitt.edu right away with your hall ticket number. Errors left uncorrected can create problems at document verification and may delay your admission.

NIMCET 2026 Qualifying Marks

To count as qualified in NIMCET 2026, you need to meet two conditions together. Your total score must reach the category-wise minimum listed below, and your Mathematics section score must be positive (not zero or negative). The Mathematics condition is a hard disqualifier — a zero or negative Maths score leads to automatic disqualification even if your total crosses 500.

NIMCET 2026 Qualifying Marks

The qualifying marks for NIMCET 2026 are the minimum scores required to be considered for counselling. These marks are set for each category and are out of a total score of 1,000.

Category Minimum Total Score Required (out of 1,000) Qualifying Percentage
General 500 50%
OBC-NCL 500 50%
EWS 500 50%
SC 450 45%
ST 450 45%
PwD 400 40%

These qualifying percentages have not changed for several years. Crossing the qualifying threshold gets you on the merit list, but it does not guarantee a seat.

Many students who qualify do not get their top-choice NIT. Your AIR versus the closing rank of your preferred institute is what determines that.

I scored above 500 but my rank is quite high. Can I still get a seat?

Yes, it depends on which institute you prefer. Qualifying marks only make you eligible for counselling. Your AIR is then compared to the closing rank of each institute during seat allotment.

Institutes like NIT Raipur and NIT Agartala had General closing ranks of 631 and 662 in 2025, so candidates with ranks in that range can realistically secure a seat. Plan your counselling choices using the previous-year closing ranks as a guide.

NIMCET 2026 Cutoff (Closing Ranks by Institute)

The NIMCET cutoff is the closing rank, which is the last AIR at which a seat was allotted at a given institute in a given counselling round. The 2026 closing ranks will be published on nimcet.admissions.nic.in after each allotment round, starting with Round 1 on July 6, 2026.

Until then, use the 2025 General category closing ranks below as the best available reference.

Institute 2025 General Closing Rank 2024 General Closing Rank 2023 General Closing Rank 2026 General Closing Rank
NIT Tiruchirappalli 47 52 48 To be announced
NIT Surathkal 114 114 105 To be announced
MNNIT Allahabad 149 180 177 To be announced
NIT Delhi 165 To be announced
NIT Warangal 180 238 239 To be announced
NIT Kurukshetra 256 291 To be announced
MANIT Bhopal 339 To be announced
NIT Jamshedpur 511 To be announced
NIT Raipur 631 736 577 To be announced
NIT Agartala 662 To be announced

Category-wise closing ranks (OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS, PwD) for 2026 will be published after counselling rounds conclude. Students from reserved categories typically see significantly higher closing ranks.

For context, the SC category closing rank at NIT Tiruchirappalli in 2025 was around 632, compared to the General closing rank of 47. Use your category rank, not just your AIR, when planning your institute preferences during counselling.

When will the NIMCET 2026 cutoff be released?

The NIMCET 2026 cutoff (institute-wise closing ranks) will be published after each counselling round on nimcet.admissions.nic.in. Round 1 allotment is on July 6, 2026, and the first set of 2026 closing ranks will appear then.

Closing ranks from all three rounds, plus the special round, are consolidated on the portal after counselling concludes.

NIMCET Result 2026: Tie-Breaking Criteria

If two candidates end up with the same total score, NIMCET 2026 uses a step-by-step tie-breaking process to assign ranks. The criteria apply in the order below, and only when one criterion does not break the tie does NIMCET move to the next one.

NIMCET Tie-Breaking Criteria

When two or more candidates score the same total marks in NIMCET, the rank is decided by a fixed set of tie-breaking rules. The rules are applied one by one until the tie is broken.

Step Criterion Who Gets the Better Rank
1 Mathematics marks Candidate with the higher Maths score
2 Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning marks Candidate with the higher AA&LR score
3 Computer Awareness marks Candidate with the higher Computer Awareness score
4 Age (date of birth) Older candidate gets preference
5 Random computer sampling Applied only if all above criteria are still tied

Section-wise marks matter beyond just the total. Mathematics carries the highest weight in NIMCET — it is the largest section (600 marks out of 1,000) and also the primary tiebreaker. Strong Maths performance protects the rank at both ends: it contributes the most to the total, and it is the first differentiator when totals are identical.

What to Do After NIMCET Result 2026

If a candidate has qualified, everything from here happens on nimcet.admissions.nic.in. NIMCET counselling is fully centralised — no separate reporting to individual institutes at this stage. Here is the process step by step.

  1. Download the rank card before July 3, 2026 at 5:00 PM — it is needed for counselling and document verification.
  2. Register for counselling and pay Rs. 1,000 (non-refundable) — registration opened June 30, 2026 and is in progress.
  3. Fill and lock institute-programme preferences by July 3, 2026 at 5:00 PM — rank all 13 institutes in preferred order; the same list applies across all general counselling rounds, so think carefully before locking.
  4. Check seat allotment results — Round 1 on July 6, Round 2 on July 11, Round 3 on July 16.
  5. Accept the allotted seat and pay Rs. 10,000 (non-refundable seat acceptance fee) to confirm the seat.
  6. Upload documents online through the portal for pre-verification.
  7. Report to the allotted institute with original documents for physical verification and final admission.

If a candidate does not get the preferred institute in Round 1, staying in the pool helps — seats freed by higher-ranked candidates who withdraw or upgrade open up in Rounds 2 and 3. A Special Round on July 22–24 covers any seats remaining vacant after the three general rounds. Keep notifications on via the Sandes mobile application, which the NIMCET portal uses to push allotment results and deadline reminders.

At the time of physical reporting, carry originals and self-attested photocopies of: the NIMCET 2026 rank card, Class 10 and 12 certificates and mark sheets, all semester mark sheets and the provisional degree certificate, category certificate if applicable (OBC-NCL / EWS / SC / ST / PwD), a valid government-issued photo ID, and recent passport-size photographs.

NIMCET 2026 Participating Institutes and Seat Matrix

There are 13 participating institutes in NIMCET 2026. They are divided into two types as shown below.

Type Institutes
National Institutes of Technology (11) NIT Tiruchirappalli, NIT Warangal, MNNIT Allahabad, MANIT Bhopal, NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Raipur, NIT Patna, NIT Agartala, NIT Delhi, NIT Meghalaya
Indian Institutes of Information Technology (2) IIIT Bhopal, IIIT Vadodara

About 1,300 total MCA seats are distributed category-wise: approximately 501 General, 331 OBC-NCL, 182 SC, 93 ST, and 125 EWS. PwD reservation is applied horizontally at 5% within each category. No separate state quota exists — reservations follow Government of India rules.

NIMCET 2026 Counselling FAQs

Can I change my institute preferences after locking them for NIMCET 2026 counselling?

No. Once preferences are locked, they cannot be changed. The choice-filling window closes July 3, 2026 at 5:00 PM. The same preference list applies across all three general counselling rounds, so review the order carefully before locking.

Are the NIMCET 2026 counselling fees refundable?

The Rs. 1,000 counselling registration fee is non-refundable regardless of whether a seat is obtained. The Rs. 10,000 seat acceptance fee is also non-refundable once an allotted seat is accepted. If a seat is allotted but not accepted, only the registration fee is forfeited — no further deduction applies.

NIMCET 2026 Result FAQs

Where can I check the NIMCET 2026 result?

The result is at nimcet.admissions.nic.in. Log in with the Hall Ticket Number and registration password to download the rank card. The download portal stays open until July 3, 2026 at 5:00 PM.

What does the NIMCET 2026 rank card contain?

The rank card contains the candidate's personal details, section-wise marks, total marks, and the All India Rank (AIR). It also includes the qualifying status and category-wise rank where applicable.

What Information is on the NIMCET 2026 Rank Card?

The rank card contains all candidate details and scores. There is no separate scorecard.

The card includes the following information:

  • Candidate details
  • Section-wise marks (Mathematics out of 600, AA&LR out of 240, Computer Awareness out of 120, General English out of 40)
  • Total score out of 1,000
  • All India Rank (AIR)
  • Category rank
  • State rank
  • Qualification status

What are the Qualifying Marks for NIMCET 2026?

General, OBC-NCL, and EWS candidates need at least 500 out of 1,000 (50%). SC and ST candidates need 450 (45%). PwD candidates need 400 (40%).

There is a separate condition for Mathematics. A zero or negative Mathematics score causes automatic disqualification, even if the total meets the cutoff.

How is the NIMCET 2026 Total Score Calculated?

NIMCET 2026 uses differential marking. Each section has a different marking scheme.

Section Questions Marks per Correct Answer Negative Marking per Wrong Answer
Mathematics 50 +12 –3
AA&LR 40 +6 –1.5
Computer Awareness 20 +6 –1.5
General English 10 +4 –1

There is no penalty for unattempted questions. The total score is out of 1,000.

When Does NIMCET 2026 Counselling Allotment Happen?

Choice filling closes on July 3, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Counselling registration and a non-refundable Rs. 1,000 fee are required before this deadline.

The seat allotment schedule is as follows:

  • Round 1: July 6
  • Round 2: July 11
  • Round 3: July 16
  • Special Round: July 22–24, 2026

How Many Institutes Accept NIMCET 2026 Scores?

Thirteen institutes participate in NIMCET 2026 — 11 NITs and 2 IIITs.

The 11 NITs are:

  • NIT Tiruchirappalli
  • NIT Warangal
  • MNNIT Allahabad
  • MANIT Bhopal
  • NIT Jamshedpur
  • NIT Kurukshetra
  • NIT Raipur
  • NIT Patna
  • NIT Agartala
  • NIT Delhi
  • NIT Meghalaya

The 2 IIITs are IIIT Bhopal and IIIT Vadodara.

What is the NIMCET 2026 Tie-Breaking Rule?

If two candidates have the same total score, the rank is decided in a specific order.

  1. Higher Mathematics marks
  2. Higher AA&LR marks
  3. Higher Computer Awareness marks
  4. The older candidate gets preference
  5. Random computer sampling if all the above remain tied

What Happens if a Candidate Scores Zero in Mathematics?

A zero or negative Mathematics score leads to automatic disqualification. This applies regardless of the total score.

The rank card will show "Not Qualified" in such cases. Meeting the total marks cutoff alone is not enough — a positive Maths score is a mandatory additional condition.

What is the Difference Between Qualifying the Cutoff and Getting a Seat?

The qualifying cutoff is the minimum score to get on the merit list. It is 500 for General, 450 for SC/ST, and 400 for PwD candidates.

Getting a seat is a separate matter. It depends on the candidate's AIR versus the institute-wise closing rank during counselling.

A candidate who qualifies with a rank of 700 may not get NIT Trichy (which closed at rank 47 in 2025). The same candidate can realistically get NIT Raipur or NIT Agartala (which closed at 631 and 662 in 2025).

Counselling and Seat Allotment

Counselling registration and a non-refundable Rs. 1,000 fee are required before the July 3, 2026 deadline. Choice filling closes July 3, 2026 at 5:00 PM.

Once you lock your preferences, they cannot be changed. The same preference list applies across all three general counselling rounds, so review the order carefully before locking.

Allotment Schedule

Round Date
Round 1 July 6, 2026
Round 2 July 11, 2026
Round 3 July 16, 2026
Special Round July 22-24, 2026

All allotments are on nimcet.admissions.nic.in. The NIMCET 2026 cutoff (institute-wise closing ranks) will be published after each counselling round on the same portal.

Counselling Fees

The Rs. 1,000 counselling registration fee is non-refundable, regardless of whether you get a seat. The Rs. 10,000 seat acceptance fee is also non-refundable once you accept an allotted seat.

If you are allotted a seat but choose not to accept it, you forfeit only the registration fee. No further deduction applies.

Chance of Getting a Seat

Qualifying marks only make you eligible for counselling. Your AIR is compared to the closing rank of each institute during seat allotment.

Institutes like NIT Raipur and NIT Agartala had General closing ranks of 631 and 662 in 2025. Candidates with ranks in that range can realistically secure a seat. Plan counselling choices using the previous-year closing ranks as a guide.

NIMCET Qualifying Cutoff

The qualifying cutoff is the minimum score required to be placed on the merit list. It is not the same as the score needed to secure a seat at a specific NIT.

For NIMCET 2025, the qualifying cutoff is set at 500 marks for the General category. The cutoff for SC/ST categories is 450 marks, and for PwD candidates, it is 400 marks.

Importance of Maths Score in Cutoff

A positive score in the Mathematics section is a mandatory additional condition for qualifying. The total marks cutoff alone is not sufficient for a candidate to be considered qualified.

Candidates must meet both the total marks cutoff and the separate condition of a positive score in Mathematics. Failing to secure a positive score in Maths will result in disqualification, even if the total marks are above the cutoff.

Qualifying vs. Getting a Seat

Qualifying the cutoff and getting a seat are two different stages of the admission process. The qualifying cutoff is the floor that places a candidate on the merit list, while getting a seat depends on the All India Rank (AIR) against the institute-wise closing rank.

For example, a candidate with an AIR of 700 may not get a seat at NIT Trichy, which had a closing rank of 47 in 2025. The same candidate could realistically get a seat at NIT Raipur or NIT Agartala, which had closing ranks of 631 and 662 in 2025, respectively.

LR Sample Paper

NIMCET Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning Sample Papers show you how the actual exam tests reasoning, puzzles, and data-based questions. They follow the latest NIMCET 2026 exam pattern, syllabus, and the marking scheme used by the conducting NIT for that year.

  • The Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning section has 40 questions worth 240 marks, which makes it the second biggest section after Mathematics. A clean score here is what pushes a good Math score into a top NIT rank.
  • Every question is worth +6 marks if correct and -1.5 if wrong. The penalty is smaller than the Math section, but it still adds up if you guess on five or six unsure questions in a row.
  • Most students underestimate this section because it has no formulas. The mistake is real. Sample papers train your eye to spot the trick in coding-decoding, syllogisms, and puzzles before time runs out.

NIMCET Analytical Ability & LR Sample Papers

How to Solve NIMCET Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning Sample Papers (Best Method)

A sample paper helps you only if you treat it like the real test. Here is how to do that for NIMCET Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning.

  • Sit like you are in the exam centre: Set a 40 minute timer for the section, keep your phone away, and use only a rough notebook. No web search, no calculator, no notes.
  • Sort the questions before you solve: Spend the first 2 to 3 minutes scanning all 40 questions. Mark the short ones like Series, Coding-Decoding, and Analogies as quick wins. Keep the long ones like Seating Arrangement and Data Interpretation for the middle of the paper.
  • Start with single-question topics: Series, Blood Relations, Direction Sense, and Coding-Decoding usually take less than a minute each. Bank those marks first, then move into the puzzles and DI sets.
  • Be careful with puzzle sets: One Seating Arrangement or DI set can give you 4 or 5 questions in a row. If the first question feels stuck, move on. Coming back later with a clear head often works better than burning 8 minutes on one set.
  • Skip when you are not sure: Each wrong answer cuts 1.5 marks. If you cannot rule out two of the four options, leave the question. You do not want to lose 6 marks across four bad guesses.
  • Review the paper properly:
    • Note the time you spent on each question type, especially the long ones like Puzzles and DI.
    • Tag each mistake by reason: misread question, wrong pattern, careless calculation, or no idea about the type.
    • Keep a small notebook of reasoning shortcuts and tricky question types, and read it once a week.
    • Try every wrong and skipped question again the next morning without a timer, so the right pattern sticks.

NIMCET Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning Sample Paper: Importance

This section is where most NIMCET students score well, but only if they prepare for it. A good run in Reasoning can lift your total score by 100 to 150 marks without touching Math.

  • It is the second biggest section: 240 marks out of 1000. After Math, this is where the rank race is decided.
  • It rewards practice more than concepts: Reasoning has no syllabus to memorise. The patterns repeat, so the more papers you solve, the faster you recognise the type.
  • Sample papers fix your timing on puzzles: Seating Arrangement and DI sets take longer than other questions. Without timed practice, you will spend 10 minutes on one set and panic later.
  • You learn when to skip: The -1.5 penalty is small but real. Sample papers teach you to walk past the question that looks doable but actually needs 5 minutes of working.
  • Non-Verbal questions need a different muscle: Figure Series, Pattern Completion, and Mirror Images need visual practice. NCERT does not help here. Sample papers do.
  • Tracking your accuracy: Reasoning is a section where 35 out of 40 correct is possible if you skip cleanly. After a few papers, you will know exactly which question types give you 90% accuracy and which ones to drop.

Why choose Collegedunia's NIMCET Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning Sample Paper

Collegedunia's sample papers are written by teachers who have prepared NIMCET reasoning content for years, and they are updated every cycle.

  • Built for NIMCET 2026: Every paper follows the current section split, marking, and difficulty. No old reasoning patterns from a different exam recycled here.
  • Solutions that show the trick: Each answer comes with the shortcut method, not just the option letter. You will see how to crack the pattern in 30 seconds instead of two minutes.
  • Mix of all question types: Verbal, Non-Verbal, and Analytical reasoning are all included in proper proportion. No paper that has 30 syllogisms and nothing else.
  • Easy to use: PDFs open on phone, tablet, or laptop. Hyperlinks take you from a question to its solution and back, which saves time during review.
  • Updated when NIMCET changes: If the section split or question types change mid-year, the next batch of papers reflects the change.
  • Free to use: No login, no email, no payment. Click the PDF and start.

NIMCET Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning Sample Paper: Understanding the Exam Pattern

NIMCET is the all-India entrance test for MCA admission at 11 participating NITs. The exam is conducted by one of the NITs in rotation each year, and that NIT releases the official schedule and result. The full list of participating institutes is given below.

Participating Institute Location
MNNIT Allahabad Uttar Pradesh
MANIT Bhopal Madhya Pradesh
NIT Agartala Tripura
NIT Calicut Kerala
NIT Jamshedpur Jharkhand
NIT Kurukshetra Haryana
NIT Patna Bihar
NIT Raipur Chhattisgarh
NIT Karnataka (Surathkal) Karnataka
NIT Tiruchirappalli Tamil Nadu
NIT Warangal Telangana

The exam runs for 2 hours and has 120 questions across four sections worth 1000 marks in total. Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning is the second biggest section. The full pattern is given below, with the Reasoning row highlighted.

Section Weightage & Questions Core Topics
Mathematics 50 Questions (600 Marks) Set Theory, Algebra, Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry, Calculus, Vectors, Probability
Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning 40 Questions (240 Marks) Series, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, Syllogisms, Puzzles, Data Interpretation, Non-Verbal Reasoning
Computer Awareness 20 Questions (120 Marks) Number System, Boolean Algebra, Computer Architecture Basics, Programming Concepts
General English 10 Questions (40 Marks) Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Correction, Reading Comprehension

Marking scheme: Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning gives +6 per correct and -1.5 per wrong. Mathematics gives +12 per correct and -3 per wrong. Computer Awareness gives +6 per correct and -1.5 per wrong. General English gives +4 per correct and -1 per wrong. Unattempted questions carry 0 marks in every section.

  • 120 multiple-choice questions in 2 hours for 1000 marks in total.
  • Each section has its own marks per question, but every section cuts 25% of that value for a wrong answer.
  • Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning carries 240 marks, the second biggest share after Mathematics.
  • Held in English only. There is no Hindi version of the paper.
  • Used for MCA admission through a common counselling round managed by the conducting NIT for that year.

NIMCET Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning Sample Paper: Topic-wise Weightage

The 40 Reasoning questions in NIMCET come from a fixed set of topics every year. Solving a few sample papers makes the pattern clear. The table below shows how the questions are usually spread.

Topic Avg Qs/year % Weight Priority
Series (Numerical and Letter) 5 12.5% High
Coding-Decoding 4 10% High
Analogies and Classification 4 10% High
Syllogisms and Logical Statements 4 10% High
Data Interpretation (Tables, Graphs, Pie Charts) 4 10% High
Non-Verbal Reasoning (Figure Series, Pattern Completion) 4 10% High
Seating Arrangement and Puzzles 4 10% High
Blood Relations 3 7.5% Medium
Direction Sense 3 7.5% Medium
Data Sufficiency 3 7.5% Medium
Mathematical Operations and Number Reasoning 2 5% Low

Based on the previous year's trend analysis. NIMCET does not officially release chapter-wise weightage.

Mistakes to Avoid While Solving Sample Papers

The biggest Reasoning mistake is treating the section as easy and skipping practice for it. The patterns are simple, but the time pressure is real. Watch out for these.

  • Skipping Reasoning practice because you think you can solve it on the spot. You probably can, but not in 40 minutes for 40 questions while three other sections are still left.
  • Spending too long on one puzzle. Seating Arrangement and DI sets are designed to swallow time. If a set is not clicking in 4 minutes, leave it and come back.
  • Guessing on every question because the penalty is "only" 1.5 marks. Five wrong guesses cost you 7.5 marks, which is more than one correct answer.
  • Ignoring Non-Verbal Reasoning. It only has 4 questions but those are 24 quick marks if you have practised pattern-completion problems before.
  • Using old sample papers from competitive banking or SSC exams. NIMCET Reasoning is closer to MBA-entrance style than to government-job style. The question types are different.
  • Reviewing only the questions you got wrong. The questions you solved by trial and error often hide a faster method. Read the solution to learn the shortcut.

FAQs

Ques. Are NIMCET Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning sample papers based on the latest syllabus?

Ans. Yes, these NIMCET Reasoning sample papers follow the latest syllabus and the recent question trends published by the conducting NIT. The topic mix and difficulty match the 2026 cycle.

Ques. Which reasoning topics carry the highest weightage in NIMCET?

Ans. Series, Coding-Decoding, Analogies, Syllogisms, Data Interpretation, and Puzzles together cover around 60% of the 40 Reasoning questions. Strong practice on these usually gives you the best return on time.

Ques. How many Reasoning sample papers should I solve before NIMCET?

Ans. Aim for 10 to 15 full Reasoning papers along with a few topic-wise drills in the last 6 to 8 weeks. Reasoning is a pattern-recognition section, so the more variety of questions you see, the faster you spot the type on exam day.

Ques. Do I need to study a textbook for NIMCET Reasoning?

Ans. A standard reasoning book like R.S. Aggarwal helps you learn the question types in the first few weeks. After that, switch to sample papers for timed practice. Reasoning is more about practice than reading.

Ques. Do NIMCET Reasoning sample papers include solutions?

Ans. Yes, every sample paper comes with a detailed solution. The solution explains the pattern, the shortcut method, and the common traps, so reviewing the paper also teaches you new tricks.

Ques. Is there negative marking in NIMCET 2026?

Ans. Yes, NIMCET 2026 has negative marking in every section. Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning cuts 1.5 marks per wrong answer. The cut is always 25% of the correct mark value, so always skip a question if you cannot rule out at least two of the four options.

Computer Awn Sample Paper

NIMCET Computer Awareness Sample Paper 2026 is the best practice material for the 20-question Computer Awareness section of the NIT MCA Common Entrance Test. The sample papers match the actual exam in pattern and marking, and cover Number System, Boolean Algebra, Computer Architecture, Programming Concepts, and Operating System basics. Every NIMCET Computer Awareness sample paper PDF is free to download with detailed solutions.

  • Computer Awareness has only 20 questions, but it carries 120 marks in NIMCET, more than the General English section. With +6 per correct and -1.5 per wrong, careful skipping is what separates a strong score here from an average one.
  • Candidates from BCA, B.Sc Computer Science, and B.Tech IT backgrounds usually find this section the easiest in the paper. Candidates from non-CS streams need to put more time into Number System and Boolean Algebra to keep up.
  • NIMCET Computer Awareness sample papers train your eye to recognise the question type within seconds. Binary conversions, K-map simplification, and basic C output questions are quick wins once you have practised them enough.

NIMCET Computer Awareness Sample Paper How to Solve NIMCET Computer Awareness Sample Papers (Best Method)

A NIMCET Computer Awareness sample paper helps you only if you treat it like the real test. Use the steps below for every paper you attempt.

  • Set real exam conditions: Set a 20 minute timer for the section, keep your phone away, and use only a rough notebook. No calculator, no notes, no online lookup.
  • Sort the questions before you solve: Spend the first 1 to 2 minutes scanning all 20 questions. Mark the easy ones like Binary conversions and basic C output questions as quick wins. Keep the long Database or Networking questions for the middle of the paper.
  • Start with formula-based topics: Number System conversions, Boolean Algebra simplification, and Logic Gate truth tables usually take less than 45 seconds each. Bank those marks first, then move into OS and Programming questions.
  • Be careful with theory-heavy questions: One Database normalisation or Networking layer question can waste two minutes if you are not sure. If a question feels stuck, leave it and come back if time allows.
  • Skip when you are not sure: Each wrong answer cuts 1.5 marks. If you cannot rule out two of the four options, leave the question. Six wrong guesses cost you 9 marks, which is more than one correct answer.
  • Review the paper properly:
    • Note the time you spent on each topic group: Number System, Boolean, OS, Programming, Database.
    • Tag each mistake by reason: wrong rule, calculation slip, misread question, or no idea about the topic.
    • Keep a small notebook of formulas, conversion tables, and C output rules, and read it once a week.
    • Try every wrong and skipped question again the next morning without a timer, so the right method sticks.

NIMCET Computer Awareness Sample Paper: Importance

Computer Awareness is the section where most NIMCET candidates from CS backgrounds score the highest. With only 20 questions, a clean 18 out of 20 attempt at full accuracy gives you 108 of the 120 section marks.

  • Quick wins for CS background candidates: If you have a BCA or B.Sc CS degree, Number System, Boolean Algebra, and basic Programming questions usually take less than a minute each. Sample papers help you cash in on that strength.
  • Important section for non-CS candidates: Candidates from B.Sc Math, B.Com, or other streams often skip this section in prep. That is a mistake, because Computer Awareness has only 20 questions of which 12 to 14 are direct theory. Three weeks of practice can bring a 0 mark score up to a 60.
  • Smaller penalty than Math: The -1.5 cut per wrong answer is half of the Math penalty. You can be slightly more aggressive here on questions where you can eliminate two options.
  • Pattern repeats year after year: Boolean simplification, K-map, binary-to-decimal, OS scheduling, and basic C output are NIMCET regulars. Sample papers show you the patterns and the standard solving methods.
  • Topic-level visibility: One sample paper can tell you whether your weakness is Number System or Database. That is more useful than reading a full Computer Awareness textbook for the third time.
  • Tracking accuracy over papers: Computer Awareness is a section where 18 out of 20 correct is possible if you skip cleanly. After four or five papers, you will know exactly which question types push you to that 90% accuracy.

Why choose Collegedunia's NIMCET Computer Awareness Sample Paper

Collegedunia's NIMCET Computer Awareness sample papers are written by teachers who have prepared NIMCET content for years, and they are refreshed every cycle.

  • Built for NIMCET 2026: Every paper follows the current section split, marking, and difficulty. No old patterns from a different MCA entrance exam mixed in.
  • Solutions that show the working: Each answer comes with the rule used, the steps, and the trap most students fall into. You learn the shortcut method, not just the option letter.
  • Mix of all Computer Awareness topics: Number System, Boolean Algebra, Computer Architecture, OS, Programming, Database, and Networking are covered in proper proportion. No paper that has 15 Number System questions and nothing else.
  • Easy to use: PDFs open on phone, tablet, or laptop. Hyperlinks take you from a question to its solution and back, which saves time during review.
  • Updated when NIMCET changes: If the conducting NIT adjusts the Computer Awareness syllabus or section weight, the next batch of papers reflects it.

Duration: 120 minutes | Mode: CBT (online) | Language: English only

NIMCET Computer Awareness Sample Paper: Topic-wise Weightage

The 20 Computer Awareness questions in NIMCET come from a fixed set of topics every year. Solving a few NIMCET Computer Awareness sample papers makes the pattern clear. The table below shows how the questions are usually spread.

Topic Avg Qs/year % Weight Priority
Number System (Binary, Octal, Hexadecimal, Conversions) 4 20% High
Boolean Algebra and Logic Gates (K-map, Simplification) 3 15% High
Computer Architecture and Organisation 3 15% High
Programming Concepts (C, Data Structures Basics) 3 15% High
Operating System Concepts (Scheduling, Memory) 2 10% Medium
Computer Fundamentals (Hardware, Software, History) 2 10% Medium
Database Concepts (SQL, Normalisation) 1 5% Medium
Networking Basics (OSI, TCP/IP) 1 5% Medium
Microprocessor Basics 1 5% Low

Based on the previous year's trend analysis. NIMCET does not officially release chapter-wise weightage.

Mistakes to Avoid While Solving Sample Papers

The biggest NIMCET Computer Awareness mistake is treating the section as too easy and skipping practice. The questions are short, but the topic spread is wide. Watch out for these patterns.

  • Skipping Computer Awareness practice because you have a BCA or B.Sc CS degree. The exam tests very specific patterns like K-map simplification and C output, which are different from college coursework.
  • Not refreshing Number System conversions. Binary, Octal, and Hexadecimal conversions feel basic but cost time if you have not practised them in a while.
  • Ignoring Database and Networking questions. They appear in every paper, even if only 1 or 2 each. Two days of revision can give you 12 to 18 easy marks.
  • Guessing on theory-heavy questions. Every wrong answer cuts 1.5 marks. Six wrong guesses cost you 9 marks, which is more than one correct answer.
  • Using outdated 2019 or 2020 sample papers. NIMCET's Computer Awareness syllabus has been refreshed in recent years to include current programming and OS concepts.
  • Reviewing only the questions you got wrong. The Number System and Boolean questions you got right by the long method usually have a faster trick. Read the solution to learn the shortcut.

FAQs

Ques. Are NIMCET Computer Awareness sample papers based on the latest syllabus?

Ans. Yes, these NIMCET Computer Awareness sample papers follow the latest syllabus and the recent question trends published by the conducting NIT. The topic mix and difficulty match the NIMCET 2026 cycle.

Ques. Which Computer Awareness topics carry the highest weightage in NIMCET?

Ans. Number System, Boolean Algebra, Computer Architecture, and Programming Concepts together cover around 65% of the 20 Computer Awareness questions. Strong practice on these four areas usually gives the best return on prep time.

Ques. How many Computer Awareness sample papers should I solve before NIMCET?

Ans. Aim for 8 to 12 full Computer Awareness sample papers along with a few topic-wise drills in the last 6 to 8 weeks. Since the section has only 20 questions, the review of each paper is even more important than the count.

Ques. I am from a non-CS background. Can I still score well in NIMCET Computer Awareness?

Ans. Yes. Computer Awareness in NIMCET is largely fact-based and pattern-based, not skill-based. Three to four weeks of focused practice on Number System, Boolean Algebra, and basic Programming can move a non-CS candidate from a 0 mark score to 50 or 60. Sample papers are the fastest way to spot the patterns.

Ques. Do NIMCET Computer Awareness sample papers include solutions?

Ans. Yes, every sample paper comes with a detailed solution. The solution explains the rule applied, the working, and the common error traps, so a sample paper review doubles as a topic revision.

Ques. Is there negative marking in NIMCET 2026 Computer Awareness?

Ans. Yes. NIMCET 2026 cuts 1.5 marks per wrong answer in Computer Awareness, which is 25% of the +6 correct mark value. Skip a question if you cannot rule out at least two of the four options.

  • General English is the smallest section in NIMCET, with only 10 questions, yet each correct answer is worth +4 marks and a wrong one costs only -1 mark, the lowest penalty in the whole paper.
  • Most NIMCET candidates are graduates from BCA, B.Sc, or B.Com backgrounds who have not sat a formal English test in two or three years. A few NIMCET General English sample papers bring that reading speed back quickly.
  • At a pace of about 1/2 minute per question, the General English section should take you close to 5 minutes of the 2-hour paper. Sample papers train you to finish it fast and save time for Mathematics.

NIMCET English Sample PaperHow to Solve NIMCET General English Sample Papers

With only 10 questions and roughly 5 minutes on the clock, the General English section rewards a fast, clean first read. Use these steps on every NIMCET General English sample paper you attempt.

  • Set a tight 5 minute timer: Give the section the same short window it gets in the real exam. NIMCET is a computer-based test, so practise on a laptop or desktop and read the passage on screen, not on paper.
  • Read the question before the passage: For a comprehension set, glance at what is being asked first, then read the short passage once with that in mind. This saves you a second reading and keeps you inside the 10 minute window.
  • Clear the vocabulary questions first: Synonyms, antonyms, and one-word substitution take only a few seconds each when you know the word. Answer those, then come back to comprehension and grammar that need more thought.
  • Watch the small penalty: A wrong answer cuts only 1 mark against the +4 for a correct one, so a question where you can rule out two options is usually worth a careful guess. Leave a question only when all four options look equally possible.
  • Trust your first instinct on grammar: For sentence correction and spotting errors, your first read is often right. Re-reading a correct sentence five times can talk you into a wrong answer and eat the time you need elsewhere.
  • Review the paper properly:
    • Note the time you spent on each question type: comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, idioms.
    • Tag every mistake by reason: wrong meaning, missed grammar rule, misread question, or a word you did not know.
    • Keep a small notebook of new words, idioms, and common error patterns, and read it once a week.
    • Reattempt every wrong and skipped question the next morning without a timer, so the correct reasoning sticks.

NIMCET General English Sample Paper 2026: Importance

General English is worth only 40 of the 1000 NIMCET marks, so candidates often ignore it. That is the mistake. These are the quickest, safest marks in the paper, and a few sample papers are enough to claim almost all of them.

  • Quick marks with the smallest penalty: Each correct answer gives +4 marks and a wrong one costs just -1. You can be more confident here than in Mathematics, where a wrong answer costs -3. Sample papers show you which question types are safe to attempt.
  • Free marks for regular readers: If you read English news or books, vocabulary and comprehension questions feel easy. A NIMCET General English sample paper confirms you can score 8 or 9 out of 10 without extra study.
  • Time saved for Mathematics: Finishing English in under 10 minutes leaves more time for the 50 Mathematics questions that decide your rank. Sample papers build that speed so you are not still on English at the 100 minute mark.
  • Pattern repeats every year: Reading comprehension, synonyms and antonyms, idioms, and sentence correction are NIMCET regulars. Practising past patterns means no surprise question type on exam day.
  • Spotting your weak area: One sample paper can tell you whether you lose marks on vocabulary or on grammar. That is far quicker than reading a full grammar book again.
  • Confidence at the start of the paper: Many candidates open with English to settle their nerves before the heavier sections. Sample papers make that opening feel routine instead of risky.

Why Choose Collegedunia's NIMCET General English Sample Paper 2026

Collegedunia's NIMCET General English sample papers keep the real 10-question split of comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar, so every practice run matches what you will see on exam day.

  • Built for NIMCET 2026: Every paper follows the current section size of 10 questions and the +4 / -1 marking. No old patterns from a different MCA entrance test mixed in.
  • Solutions that explain the answer: Each question comes with the meaning, the grammar rule, or the reason the other options are wrong, so a review doubles as quick revision.
  • A real mix of question types: Reading comprehension, synonyms and antonyms, idioms and phrases, fill in the blanks, and sentence correction appear in proper proportion, not ten questions of one type.
  • Easy to use: PDFs open on a phone, tablet, or laptop, and hyperlinks take you from a question to its solution and back, which keeps review fast.
  • Updated when NIMCET changes: If the conducting NIT adjusts the General English syllabus or section weight, the next set of papers reflects it.
  • Free to download: No login, no email, no payment. Open the PDF and start.

NIMCET General English Sample Paper 2026: Understanding the Exam Pattern

NIMCET 2026 is held in computer-based test mode by one of the 11 participating NITs on rotation each year. The pattern stays the same no matter which NIT conducts the exam. The participating institutes are listed below.

Participating Institute Location
MNNIT Allahabad Uttar Pradesh
MANIT Bhopal Madhya Pradesh
NIT Agartala Tripura
NIT Calicut Kerala
NIT Jamshedpur Jharkhand
NIT Kurukshetra Haryana
NIT Patna Bihar
NIT Raipur Chhattisgarh
NIT Karnataka (Surathkal) Karnataka
NIT Tiruchirappalli Tamil Nadu
NIT Warangal Telangana

The full NIMCET 2026 paper runs for 2 hours and has 120 questions across four sections worth 1000 marks. General English is the smallest section by mark weight. The pattern is given below, with the General English row at the top.

Section No. of Questions Marks per Correct Negative Marking Total Marks
General English 10 +4 -1 40
Mathematics 50 +12 -3 600
Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning 40 +6 -1.5 240
Computer Awareness 20 +6 -1.5 120
Total 120 1000

NIMCET Marking Scheme: The penalty in every section is 25 percent of the correct mark value, so General English cuts 1 mark for each wrong answer. Unattempted questions carry 0 marks.

Duration: 120 minutes | Mode: CBT (online) | Language: English only

NIMCET General English Sample Paper 2026: Topic-wise Weightage

The 10 General English questions in NIMCET come from a fixed set of topics every year. Solving a few NIMCET General English sample papers makes the spread clear. The table below shows how the questions are usually split.

Topic Avg Qs/year % Weight Priority
Reading Comprehension 2 20% High
Synonyms and Antonyms 2 20% High
Sentence Correction and Grammar 1 10% High
Idioms and Phrases 1 10% Medium
Fill in the Blanks (Articles, Prepositions) 1 10% Medium
Spotting Errors 1 10% Medium
One-word Substitution 1 10% Low
Spellings and Word Usage 1 10% Low

Based on the previous year's trend analysis. NIMCET does not officially release chapter-wise weightage.

Mistakes to Avoid While Solving Sample Papers

The biggest NIMCET General English mistake is treating the section as so easy that it needs no practice at all. The questions are short, but careless reading still costs marks. Watch out for these patterns.

  • Skipping General English practice because you read English every day. The exam asks specific synonym, idiom, and grammar questions that are different from casual reading.
  • Spending too long on the comprehension passage. With about 5 minutes for the section, one minutes lost on one passage leaves the rest of the questions rushed.
  • Leaving questions blank out of habit. The penalty here is only 1 mark, so a question where you can rule out two options is usually worth attempting.
  • Ignoring vocabulary revision. Synonyms, antonyms, and one-word substitution are easy marks only if you have seen the words. A weekly word list fixes this.
  • Using very old sample papers that mix English with general knowledge. NIMCET General English stays on reading, vocabulary, and grammar, so practise on papers that match the current section.
  • Reviewing only the questions you got wrong. A word you guessed right today may trip you up in the exam, so read the solution for the meaning even when your answer was correct.

FAQs

Ques. How many questions are there in the NIMCET General English section?

Ans. The NIMCET General English section has 10 questions worth 40 marks. Each correct answer gives +4 marks and each wrong answer cuts 1 mark. It is the smallest of the four NIMCET sections.

Ques. Which topics carry the most weight in NIMCET General English?

Ans. Reading comprehension and vocabulary, meaning synonyms and antonyms, together cover about 40 percent of the 10 questions. Grammar, idioms, fill in the blanks, and one-word substitution make up the rest. NIMCET General English sample papers help you practise all of them.

Ques. How much time should I spend on the General English section?

Ans. Aim for about 10 minutes, roughly 1 minute per question. Finishing English quickly leaves more of the 120 minute paper for Mathematics, which carries the most marks. Timed sample papers help you hold that pace.

Ques. Is there negative marking in NIMCET 2026 General English?

Ans. Yes. NIMCET 2026 cuts 1 mark for each wrong answer in General English, which is 25 percent of the +4 correct value. Since this is the smallest penalty in the paper, a question where you can rule out two options is usually worth attempting.

Ques. Do NIMCET General English sample papers include solutions?

Ans. Yes, every NIMCET General English sample paper comes with a detailed solution. The solution gives the word meaning, the grammar rule, or the reason the other options are wrong, so a paper review doubles as quick revision.

Ques. How many NIMCET General English sample papers should I solve?

Ans. Five to eight NIMCET General English sample papers are usually enough, since the section has only 10 questions. Spend more of your review time on the vocabulary and idioms you miss, as those are the question types where extra reading helps the most.

What is a Good Score in NIMCET 2026?

A good score depends on the NIT you want. A score of 620 or above counts as a very strong result in NIMCET. It keeps almost every top NIT within reach.

  • If you target a rank between 1 and 100, aim for 600+ marks. For a comfortable seat at a mid-tier NIT, around 450 to 500 marks works well.
  • A score below 320 makes a top NIT seat hard, but IIITs and special rounds stay open.
  • Since Mathematics carries 600 marks, your Maths accuracy decides the result. Strong, accurate Maths attempts give the fastest route to a high total.
  • Avoid blind guesses, as the 25% penalty eats into your score.

Ques. Is 600 a good score in NIMCET 2026?

Ans. Yes, 600 marks is a strong score. It has held a rank inside the top 20, which opens almost every top NIT.

How NIMCET Rank is Calculated?

NIMCET 2026 holds 120 questions for a total of 1000 weighted marks. Each section uses its own marks per question. The table below shows the scheme.

  • Every wrong answer cuts 25% of that question's marks.
  • A wrong Maths answer costs 3 marks, while a wrong English answer costs 1 mark.
  • Unanswered questions carry no penalty.
  • NIT Trichy adds your section totals into one weighted score. It then ranks all students from highest to lowest.
  • Your final All India Rank comes only from this combined total.
Section Questions Marks per Question Total Marks
Mathematics 50 12 600
Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning 40 6 240
Computer Awareness 20 6 120
General English 10 4 40
Total 120 1000

Ques. Are there sectional cut-offs in NIMCET?

Ans. No, NIMCET has no sectional cut-offs. Only your overall weighted score decides your final rank.

NIMCET Marks vs Rank: Tie-Breaking Rules

Two students can sometimes score the same total. NIT Trichy then uses a fixed order of tie-breakers to assign ranks. The points below explain the order.

  • Mathematics score: The student with higher Mathematics marks gets the better rank first.
  • Analytical Ability score: If Maths marks tie, higher Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning marks decide the rank.
  • Computer Awareness score: A tie after that is broken by higher Computer Awareness marks.
  • Age of the student: If all section scores match, the older student gets the higher rank.

These rules reward strength in Mathematics above every other section. Always confirm the exact order in the official NIMCET 2026 brochure.

NIMCET Marks vs Rank: Tie-Breaking Rules

Factors Affecting NIMCET Marks vs Rank

The same score can give slightly different ranks each year. The points below explain why your rank moves around a score band.

  • Paper difficulty: A tough Mathematics section lowers scores across the board. This pulls the rank for any given score upward, so a lower total still earns a strong rank.
  • Number of students: More applicants mean tighter competition at every score. Around 25,000 students sit the exam each year, which keeps the top ranks very close.
  • Negative marking: NIMCET cuts 25% for each wrong answer. Risky guessing can drag your net score down and push your rank lower.
  • Section weightage: Mathematics holds 600 of 1000 marks. Strong Maths accuracy lifts your total far more than the other three sections.
  • Normalisation of weights: Each section uses a fixed multiplier before totalling. Your raw count of correct answers matters less than where those answers fall.
  • Seat matrix changes: Around 1,300 seats stay open across NITs and IIITs. Any seat addition can ease the closing rank for a college.

Maths Sample Paper

NIMCET Mathematics Sample Papers show you how the actual exam tests the biggest section in the paper. They follow the latest NIMCET 2026 exam pattern, syllabus, and the marking scheme used by the conducting NIT for that year.

  • Mathematics carries 600 of the 1000 marks in NIMCET, more than every other section put together. How well you do here decides whether you get into a top NIT or miss the cut.
  • Every Mathematics question is worth +12 marks if correct and -3 if wrong. That is the biggest stake per question in the paper, so a guess can cost you a lot. Sample papers help you decide which questions to attempt and which to skip.
  • Most NIMCET students are recent graduates coming back to exam prep after two or three years away from board-style Mathematics. Sample papers help you get back the speed and the quick recall of formulas that college coursework alone does not maintain.

How to Solve NIMCET Mathematics Sample Papers (Best Method)

A sample paper helps you only if you treat it like the real test. Here is how to do that for NIMCET Mathematics.

  • Sit like you are in the exam centre: Set a 70 minute timer, keep your phone away, and skip the calculator and notes. Use the same setup you will have on the actual day.
  • Look at the whole paper first: Spend the first 3 to 4 minutes going through all 50 questions. Mark the easy ones like Set Theory and basic Algebra, and flag the long ones like Calculus and 3D Geometry. Plan your order before you start solving.
  • Start with what you know best: Most students find Algebra, Trigonometric identities, and Set Theory easier than Calculus or Vectors. Get those marks first, then move to the longer problems.
  • Skip when you are not sure: Every wrong Math answer cuts 3 marks. If you cannot rule out at least two of the four options, leave the question. A zero is better than a -3.
  • Use the high marks per question to your advantage: Even 25 fully correct answers give you 300 marks, which is enough for many participating NITs. Focus on getting more right, not attempting more.
  • Review the paper properly:
    • Note the time you spent on each chapter group like Calculus, Algebra, and Geometry.
    • Tag each mistake by reason: wrong formula, calculation slip, misread option, or no idea about the topic.
    • Keep a small notebook of common mistakes and read it once a week.
    • Try every wrong and skipped question again the next morning without a timer, so the fix sticks.

NIMCET Mathematics Sample Paper: Importance

Mathematics decides your NIMCET rank more than any other section. Four or five well-reviewed sample papers can push your score up by 80 to 120 marks in a month.

  • Knowing how marks are split: Mathematics carries 60% of the 1000 marks. A strong Math score can cover a weak Computer Awareness or English score without hurting your rank.
  • Getting back into exam mode: Most NIMCET students have not done timed Mathematics since their Class 12 board exam. Sample papers help you build that habit again without redoing the whole NCERT.
  • Knowing when to skip: Every wrong Math answer cuts 3 marks. Sample papers show you when a question feels right but is actually a 50/50 guess.
  • Spotting the chapters that give you the most marks: Calculus and Algebra together cover about 34% of the section. Sample paper review tells you which sub-topics give you the best return for your study hours.
  • Getting used to the CBT screen: The on-screen layout, the way you move between sections, and the answer-marking buttons are different from any college exam. Solving sample papers on a laptop helps you settle into that quickly.
  • Tracking your progress with numbers: After four or five papers, your score pattern becomes a good rank guess. You can plan your last month based on what your scores say, not what you feel.

Mistakes to Avoid While Solving Sample Papers

The biggest NIMCET mistake is thinking your college Math is enough. It is not. Watch out for these patterns before they pull your score down.

  • Skipping Class 11 and 12 basics because they feel known from your B.Sc or BCA. NIMCET tests those exact basics under time pressure, and small careless mistakes can cost you 6 to 8 marks.
  • Not doing the review after the paper. Solving 20 papers without going through the mistakes will not move your score. Eight papers with full review will.
  • Guessing when you are unsure. Three wrong Math guesses cost you 9 marks, which is almost the same as one correct answer's worth.
  • Treating all four sections the same during prep. Math deserves 60% of your time because it carries 60% of the marks.
  • Using old 2019 or 2020 sample papers. NIMCET's marking and section weights have changed since then. Old papers will train you the wrong way.
  • Only reviewing the questions you got wrong. Sometimes you get an easy question right by the long method. Read the solution for every question to find faster ways.

FAQs

Ques. Are NIMCET Mathematics sample papers based on the latest syllabus?

Ans. Yes, these NIMCET Mathematics sample papers follow the latest syllabus and recent trends published by the conducting NIT for the MCA Common Entrance Test. The chapter mix, marking, and difficulty match the 2026 cycle.

Ques. Which Mathematics chapters carry the highest weightage in NIMCET?

Ans. Calculus, Algebra, Coordinate Geometry, and Trigonometry together cover about 60% of the 50 Math questions. Spending more time on these four chapters usually gives you the best return.

Ques. How many Mathematics sample papers should I solve before NIMCET?

Ans. Aim for at least 15 to 20 full Math papers along with a few sectional tests in the last 8 to 10 weeks. The number matters less than how well you review each one. Eight properly reviewed papers will move your score more than twenty rushed ones.

Ques. Is NCERT enough for NIMCET Mathematics preparation?

Ans. NCERT Class 11 and 12 give you a strong base for NIMCET Mathematics, especially for Set Theory, Calculus, and Trigonometry. But you also need sample papers and previous year questions to build speed and learn how to handle negative marking.

Ques. Do NIMCET Mathematics sample papers include solutions?

Ans. Yes, every Math sample paper comes with a detailed solution. The solution explains the approach, the working steps, and the common mistakes, so reviewing the paper also doubles as a chapter revision.

Ques. Is there negative marking in NIMCET 2026?

Ans. Yes, NIMCET 2026 has negative marking in every section. Mathematics cuts 3 marks per wrong answer, Analytical Ability and Computer Awareness cut 1.5 marks each, and General English cuts 1 mark. The cut is always 25% of the correct mark value, so always skip a question if you cannot rule out at least two of the four options.

Sample Paper

NIMCET Sample Paper 2026 is the best practice material for the NIT MCA Common Entrance Test. These sample papers match the actual exam in pattern, marking, and timing, and cover all four NIMCET sections: Mathematics, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness, and General English. Every NIMCET sample paper PDF is free to download with detailed solutions.

  • Most candidates underestimate how the NIMCET 2026 marking scheme shapes their final score. You have 120 questions in 120 minutes, but each section carries its own marks per question and its own negative penalty, so blind pacing across sections will hurt your rank.
  • Mathematics alone carries 600 of the 1000 marks, which is 60% of the NIMCET paper. A clean score here lifts your rank more than any other section, but the four wrong-answer penalty of 3 marks each makes it the riskiest section to guess in.
  • Most NIMCET aspirants are recent graduates returning to a 2-hour timed paper after two or three years away from board-style Math. Full-length NIMCET sample papers rebuild that exam-day stamina and timing, which textbook revision alone cannot do.

NIMCET Sample Papers

How to Solve NIMCET Sample Papers

Getting through a NIMCET sample paper is not the same as gaining from it. These are the steps that actually move your score on the NIT MCA Common Entrance Test.

  • Set real exam conditions: Attempt the NIMCET sample paper in one sitting, set a strict 120 minute timer, and keep the phone away. NIMCET is a CBT, so use a laptop or desktop instead of a printout. The screen experience matters more than people expect.
  • Do a 3 minute scan first: Before diving in, flip through all 120 questions to spot the section order, the easy entries in Math and Reasoning, and the heavy puzzle sets. A quick scan helps you mentally map where to slow down and where to fly.
  • Section order matters: Most NIMCET candidates do best by attempting Reasoning and English first to bank quick marks, then Computer Awareness for medium-time questions, and finally Math because it takes the longest. Pick an order and stick to it across all your sample papers.
  • Watch the negative marking by section: Math cuts 3 marks per wrong answer, Reasoning and Computer Awareness cut 1.5 each, and English cuts 1. A few reckless guesses in Math can quietly wipe out an entire solid attempt elsewhere. Skip when you cannot rule out two options.
  • Use the 12-mark Math weight: Each correct Math question is worth 12 marks, which is 3 times the weight of an English answer. Even 25 strong Math attempts at full accuracy give you 300 marks out of 600.
  • Post-paper analysis is non-negotiable: Note your section-wise score and time spent, mark every wrong answer by reason (concept gap, calculation slip, misread option, or guess), and reattempt the skipped and wrong questions the next day. A mistake log is worth more than two extra papers solved without review.

NIMCET Sample Paper 2026: Why Solving Them Matters

There is a reason experienced faculty push NIMCET sample papers harder than textbook revision in the final month. The NIT MCA entrance test rewards familiarity with the section split and the marking scheme. Students who have seen 10 to 15 NIMCET model papers before the actual exam simply feel less anxious when they hit a tough DI set at the 90 minute mark.

  • Familiarity with the four section structure: Each NIMCET section uses its own mark value and its own penalty. Sample papers teach you the per-section skip rules safely, before the actual exam where mistakes are expensive.
  • Time management across sections: A common benchmark is 60 minutes for Math, 35 for Reasoning, 15 for Computer Awareness, and 10 for English. You will not know your personal pace without timed practice on full NIMCET papers.
  • Accuracy over attempts: NIMCET rewards selective, accurate attempts. Solving 25 Math questions at full accuracy can yield more than attempting 40 with shaky guesses. Sample papers train this instinct.
  • Knowing where your score is leaking: Post-paper analysis often shows that students are not weak in a subject, they are weak in a specific question type. Coordinate Geometry versus Calculus in Math, for example. NIMCET sample papers surface this detail.
  • Rank awareness through full-paper scores: Your NIMCET 2026 rank is based on the total out of 1000, not a single section. Sample papers tell you whether your overall score is moving up, stuck, or dropping, which is the data you need to plan the last few weeks of NIMCET preparation.

Why Choose Collegedunia's NIMCET Sample Papers 2026

Collegedunia's NIMCET sample papers are built on the actual NIMCET 2026 pattern: 120 MCQs across four sections, section-wise marks of +12, +6, +6, and +4, and a 25 percent negative penalty in every section. The papers reflect this exactly, not a rough approximation.

  • Latest and Accurate: All papers are aligned to the NIMCET 2026 exam pattern released by the conducting NIT, including the current section split and marking scale.
  • Detailed Solutions: Step-by-step explanations from subject experts, especially useful for Mathematics and Computer Awareness, where the method matters as much as the final answer.
  • User-Friendly: Hyperlinked questions and solutions let you jump between an answer and its explanation without losing your place. This comes in handy when you are reviewing 120 questions in one sitting.
  • Regular Updates: Papers are revised if the conducting NIT changes the NIMCET pattern, section weights, or syllabus between cycles.
  • Free to Download: Every NIMCET sample paper PDF is available at no cost. Click the Download PDF link to access it.
  • Quality Questions: Every question is mapped to the NIMCET syllabus, with a focus on chapters that have consistently appeared, including Calculus, Algebra, Coordinate Geometry, Series, Coding-Decoding, Boolean Algebra, and Vocabulary.

NIMCET 2026 Exam Pattern at a Glance

NIMCET 2026 is conducted in Computer-Based Test mode by one of the 11 participating NITs on rotation each year. The pattern stays consistent regardless of which NIT is conducting the exam.

Section No. of Questions Marks per Correct Negative Marking Total Marks
Mathematics 50 +12 -3 600
Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning 40 +6 -1.5 240
Computer Awareness 20 +6 -1.5 120
General English 10 +4 -1 40
Total 120 1000

NIMCET Marking Scheme: Math cuts 3 marks per wrong answer, Reasoning and Computer Awareness cut 1.5 each, English cuts 1. The penalty is always 25 percent of the correct mark value. Unattempted questions carry 0 marks.

Duration: 120 minutes | Mode: CBT (online) | Language: English only

One thing worth knowing: NIMCET does not have sectional time limits, which sounds like flexibility but becomes a trap. Set your own internal checkpoints (60 minutes for Math, 35 for Reasoning, 15 for Computer Awareness, 10 for English) before you sit for any NIMCET sample paper, and stick to them.

Mistakes to Avoid While Solving NIMCET Sample Papers

Most NIMCET students lose 80 to 120 marks on the actual exam to mistakes they could have caught in NIMCET sample paper review. Worth reading before you start.

  • Do not begin full-length NIMCET papers before you have covered most of the Math and Computer Awareness syllabus. Attempting papers blind can build bad habits around guessing and skipping that are hard to unlearn.
  • Skipping the analysis phase is the most common mistake in NIMCET preparation. The paper itself is not the learning, the review is. Students who solve a paper, check the score, and move on are not preparing, they are just practising being wrong faster.
  • Do not treat all four sections the same way in prep. Mathematics deserves about 60 percent of your study time because it carries 60 percent of the NIMCET marks. Reasoning and Computer Awareness together cover another 36 percent, so neither can be ignored either.
  • Do not guess on partial confidence in Math. Three wrong Math guesses cost you 9 marks, which is almost the same as one correct answer cancelled. The smaller penalty in other sections still adds up over five or six bad attempts.
  • Avoid using outdated NIMCET sample papers, especially pre-2022 papers that may reflect an older section split or marking scale. NIMCET has had structural changes in recent years and earlier papers will not replicate the current experience accurately.
  • In the early weeks of practice, go through solutions even for questions you answered correctly. You might have reached the right answer the slow way, and that habit compounds badly under time pressure.

FAQs on NIMCET Sample Papers 2026

Ques. How many NIMCET sample papers should I solve before the exam?

Ans. A realistic target is 10 to 15 full-length NIMCET sample papers in the last 8 to 10 weeks, alongside subject-wise practice for your weak section. The number matters less than what you do after each paper. Ten well-analysed NIMCET papers will move your score more than 25 rushed ones.

Ques. Are previous year NIMCET question papers enough, or do I need sample papers too?

Ans. Previous year NIMCET papers are useful for understanding the question style and topic trends. NIMCET sample papers built on those trends fill in the rest. Use both, since the conducting NIT does not release official PYQs in bulk.

Ques. Where can I find reliable NIMCET 2026 sample papers with solutions?

Ans. Collegedunia offers full-length and section-wise NIMCET sample papers based on the current NIMCET 2026 exam pattern. Official mock tests are sometimes released by the conducting NIT on its admissions portal as well.

Ques. Should I start with subject-wise NIMCET papers or full-length tests?

Ans. Start subject-wise for the first 4 to 6 weeks to build accuracy in each NIMCET section. Move to full-length NIMCET sample papers after that. Closer to the exam, full papers are the only mode that simulates real test conditions and the cross-section pacing NIMCET demands.

Ques. Is there negative marking in NIMCET 2026?

Ans. Yes. NIMCET 2026 has negative marking in every section. Math cuts 3 marks per wrong answer, Reasoning and Computer Awareness cut 1.5 each, and English cuts 1. The cut is always 25 percent of the correct mark value, so always skip a question where you cannot rule out at least two of the four options.

Ques. How much time should I spend on each NIMCET section?

Ans. A common time plan is 60 minutes for Math, 35 for Reasoning, 15 for Computer Awareness, and 10 for English. There is no official NIMCET sectional limit, but without a self-imposed plan it is easy to burn 80 minutes on Math and rush the rest.

Ques. How can I improve my NIMCET score through sample papers?

Ans. Keep an error log. Every wrong or skipped question goes into a notebook with the reason: wrong concept, rushed reading, misread option, or pure guess. Review the log weekly. Candidates who track errors and revisit the topics consistently tend to see the clearest score improvement over 4 to 6 weeks of NIMCET preparation.
