Overview

PGIMER Chandigarh will conduct MSc./MSc. MLT Entrance Examination for the January 2026 Session. The application form was released on 4th November, 2025. The last date to fill the application form is 21 November by 11:00 PM.

You must be an Indian national and have an MBBS degree for MD/MS/DM-6yrs/MCH-6yrs and a BDS degree for MDS courses. The benchmark of qualifying exam percentage set for OBC/EWS categories is 55% and for SC/ST is 50% aggregate.

INI CET 2026 application form was released on the official website on November 4, 2025. Eligible ones can complete INI CET 2026 registration till November 21, 2025, till 11 PM. It is typically an online procedure, which must be completed through the website portal. To register, you must visit the website, aiimsexams.ac.in, and navigate to INI CET 2026 July session registration section. Upon clicking on it, a separate window will appear. Now, you have to click on the new registration option and fill in all the necessary details.

Post-completion of INI CET 2026 exam stage 1 application process, an Exam Unique Code (EUC) will be generated. This code is very essential for future purposes. Also, General/ OBC Candidates/Foreign National/ OCI has INI CET 2026 application fee of INR 4000. However, SC/ ST/ EWS has an application fee of INR 3200. The prescribed application fee must be paid via credit or debit card or net banking.

Now that the exam has been replaced with INI CET, many of you can ask what the exam pattern is. According to INI CET 2026 exam pattern, the test will be administered in online CBT mode. Objective type of questions of varying types (including Single Correct Choice and Multiple Correct Choice questions). You will be allotted a total of 200 MCQs, carrying +1 mark each. INI CET 2026 result announcement date is May 25, 2026, i.e., within 6 days of the exam. INI CET 2026 cut-off for General, EWS, and foreign candidates is 50th percentile. The cut-off percentile set for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD) is 45th percentile. If one or more students obtain similar marks, INI CET 2026 tie-breaking policy will be implemented.

PGIMER (INI CET) 2026 Eligibility

PGIMER has been replaced with INI CET 2026 exam, with below-mentioned eligibility criteria:

  • Must possess an MBBS degree for MD/MS/DM-6yrs/MCH-6yrs and BDS degree for MDS courses from a university accredited by the National Medical Commission/Medical Council of India.
  • Completed the required period of 12 months of compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training on or before 31st January 2026 for all INIs. Candidates who complete their internship after 31st January, 2026 are not eligible for Registration in this examination
  • The minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST categories is 50% in aggregate
  • The minimum qualifying marks for OBC/EWS categories is 55% in aggregate
  • For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities [PWBD] candidates the minimum aggregate as aforementioned will be applicable for the category to which the candidate belongs shall apply
  • The eligibility of Sponsored Candidates concerning the minimum marks in aggregate in all the MBBS/BDS professional examinations will be the same as for candidates mentioned above
  • For Indian National candidates who have graduated from foreign Universities, marks obtained in the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) conducted by the National Board of Examination (NBE), shall be considered instead of aggregate marks. The minimum qualifying marks is similar in this scenario also.

PGIMER Chandigarh Counselling

Counselling and Seat Allotment will be done in the sequential order based on INI CET 2026 cut off marks. Candidates have to appear for counselling on the specified date and time allotted to them. All the certificates and documents of the candidate will be verified at the counselling center on the stipulated date. The candidate should appear for Counselling procedure himself/herself with all the necessary documents. No other person will be allowed to appear for the counselling and admission on behalf of the candidate.

Application Process

PGIMER 2024 Application form is expected to be out by 1st week of June 2024. Only if you who have successfully submitted the application form can make changes to the form. You must check the eligibility criteria to fill out the application form. To submit the form, the online application fee must be remitted using the online mode of payment only.

 PGIMER 2024 entrance exam for M.Sc, M.Sc. MLT, Fellowship/ Post Doctoral Fellowship courses will be conducted in the 1st week of August 2024. The application fee for PGIMER 2024 is INR 1500 for the open category and INR 1200 for SC/ST, while PwD candidates are exempted. The form correction window will be open after the closing of PGIMER registration 2024.

PGIMER Eligibility

PGIMER/INI CET Eligibility

PGIMER is the conducting body for PGIMER 2024 Entrance exam and it lays down eligibility criteria of PGIMER for the applicants. Candidates must follow these guidelines while applying or else their application will be deemed invalid.

  • Candidates must have completed their MBBS from a university/institution recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
  • They must have completed or due to complete their 12 months of rotating internship on or before December 31 for January session and June 30 for July session.
  • Students must be registered with Central or State Medical Council of India.

Eligibility criteria for Sponsored or Deputed Candidates:

  • Candidates must be a permanent or regular employee of the deputing or sponsoring authority and should have been working for the past three years on or before December 31 for January session and June 30 for July session.
  • After getting admission and training in PGIMER, Chandigarh, the candidate will be suitably employed by the deputing or sponsoring authority to work for at least five years in the specialty in which the candidate has received training at PGIMER, Chandigarh.
  • No financial liabilities in the form of emoluments, stipends etc. will be given out by PGIMER, Chandigarh during the entire period of his or her course and such payments will be the sole responsibility of the sponsoring authority.

How to fill PGIMER 2024 Application Form?

PGIMER 2024 Application Form is to be filled online on the official website of AIIMS – aiimsexams.org. Candidates can fill the exam form by following the steps listed below:

Step 1 - Creating an Account (Basic Registration)

Candidates will have to create a login id and password first with their valid email id,

Step 2 - Filling up the Form

Once the Login ID and Password is created by the candidates, candidates will now have to open the application form and fill in the details like:

Step 5 – Payment of Application Fee

Candidates will now have to pay the application fee based on the course they have chosen to apply for and their category. Payment can be done through online mode like Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.

Step 6 - Final steps

If a candidate is unable to complete the entire application process in one go because of any issue, they can save the draft and logout of their account. The form will be saved as is and candidates can log in again later and can fill up the complete form and make the payment. Candidates must note that payment of the fees is the full and final step of the application process. Once the fees are paid, no changes will be allowed in the application form.

Candidates will have to carry the printout of their copy of the eChallan or iCollect receipt with them for all future reference related to the admission through PGIMER 2020 till the time of the admission to the candidates’ preferred and chosen course.

Guidelines for uploading photograph and signature 

Candidates have to upload a scanned image of his/her passport size photograph and signature as per the required specifications set by PGIMER conducting body. The scanner resolution should be set to a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch) for optimum results.

  • Candidates need to upload a recently clicked passport size photograph, It should ideally be a coloured image and clicked against a light-coloured or white background so that they are clearly visible
  • The image should be front-faced photo without any red eye.
  • In case the candidate is wearing spectacles, he/she must make sure that there is no reflection on the glasses and their eyes can be seen clearly.
  • Caps, hats and dark glasses will not be acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed however it must not cover the candidate’s face.

PGIMER (INI CET) 2024 Merit List
