IIT JAM 2025 Eligibility Criteria outlines the essential requirements that candidates must meet to qualify for admission to the IITs. Here are the key eligibility criteria:
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree: Candidates must hold a valid Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or institution.

Application Process
The IIT JAM Registration process started from 5th September 2025. The last date to register for JAM 2026 was extended till 20th October 2025. The IIT JAM Registration is conducted online by the JOAPS Portal at the official website jam2026.iitb.ac.in.
- The candidates have to register online using their Name, Email ID, Mobile number and then set a password to complete the registration process and pay the application fee of Rs. 1000 to 2700, depending upon the category and the exam selected.
- After the registration, candidates have to fill out the application form, upload scanned documents, pay the fees and select their preferred exam city.
- The Documents required to register in IIT JAM 2026 are a scanned photograph, signature, category certificate and PwD Certificate along with the final year marksheet.
