YVUCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

YUCET 2024 Syllabus

The YUCET 2024 syllabus is divided into three sections for each subject. Each section covers a specific set of topics.

Botany

• Section A: Microbiology and plant pathology.

• Section C: Plant physiology, ecology, and plant taxonomy.

Chemistry

• Section A: Physical chemistry.

English

The English syllabus has three sections. Section A and Section B cover poetry, prose, short stories, one-act plays, and language study. Section C covers drama and novels.

• Section B: Paper-II studied under Part-1 (B) Telugu: Prachina Padya Bhagamu, Adunika Padya Bhagamu, Gadya Bhagamu, Drama, Alankaras, Grammar and Essay.
• Section C: Paper-II (History of Literature) and Paper III (History of Telugu language, Grammar and Dialects) studied under Part II Telugu of B.A.

Zoology

• Section A: Biology of Invertebrates and Cell Biology, Biomolecules of the cell.
• Section B: Biology of Chordates, Genetics, Evolution and Zoogeography.
• Section C: Animal Physiology, Behavior and Ecology.

YUCET 2024 Exam Day Instructions

Candidates must keep the following in mind during the exam.

• Candidates must carry YUCET 2024 Admit Card with them during all times in the process of the examination.
• The OMR sheet has to be filled clearly in blue or black ball point pen only.
• Candidates can select only one answer for each question.
• They cannot leave the exam hall till the exam is over.
• Applicants will not be allowed to carry any electronic devices like mobile phones, calculators, etc or any books, papers to the exam hall.
• If the number of applicants for a particular course is less than the total number of seats for that course, the entrance exam will not be conducted for that particular course.

The YVUCET 2026 cutoff is the minimum marks or rank needed for admission to a PG program. There are two types: the qualifying cutoff (minimum marks to be eligible for counselling) and the admission cutoff (the actual rank or marks at which seats are filled in a specific course).

Qualifying Cutoff

• General / Unreserved (OC): 25 marks (25%)
• OBC / Backward Classes (BC): 25 marks (25%)
• SC / ST: No minimum marks

Factors Affecting Admission Cutoff

• Total number of applicants
• Difficulty level of the paper
• Total seats available in each PG program
• Category-wise reservation as per AP government policy
• Number of candidates who clear the qualifying cutoff and register for counselling

Expected Admission Cutoff (Based on Previous Year Trends)

• Popular courses like M.Sc. Biotechnology, M.Sc. Genetics, and M.Sc. Mathematics often require 55–70+ marks out of 100 for General category seats.
• Courses with more seats and fewer applicants may fill at 35–50 marks for General category candidates.

The official admission cutoff for each course is declared by YVU after counselling rounds are complete. Aim for the highest score possible to secure your preferred course in the first counselling round.

YVUCET 2024 Result Overview

YVUCET 2024 Result is expected to be released in the 1st week of June 2024 by Y V University, Kadapa on the official website. The result will be published as a state-wise rank list.

No provision for revaluation or personal identification of the answer sheet will be provided to any candidate. The rank list will be published subject-wise and category-wise.

YVUCET 2024 Counselling will be conducted subject-wise. It will be held one week after the release of the result. The minimum qualifying mark for the General Category is 25.

YVUCET 2024 Result will be available only on the official website and will not be sent by post. The result will be in the form of a rank for all appeared candidates.

From the 1st week of June 2024 (tentatively), candidates can download their rank cards.

• Select the concerned subject from the drop-down menu.

The official YVUCET 2025 answer key will be released by Y V University on the official website. It will be available one week after the examination.

• Click on "Answer key" from Notification on the homepage.
• Click on YVUCET 2025 Answer Key.
• Select the concerned subject and click submit.
• The page will display the official answer key.

Candidates who appeared for the examination can use the YVUCET 2024 Official Answer Key to calculate attempted marks.

YVUCET 2024 Merit List

YVUCET 2024 Merit List will be published on the official website after the assessment of ranks and results. The minimum qualifying marks are 25 for the general category, while no such rule applies to SC/ST candidates.

For Test-116, the minimum qualifying marks are 18.

YVUCET 2024 Merit List

The YVUCET merit list will be published on the official website after the result and rank card are released. The rank is determined from the marks obtained in the test.

The merit list is prepared on the basis of ranks. Yogi Vemana University is responsible for preparing and releasing the merit list. Counselling will be scheduled for candidates who are eligible according to the merit list.

Seat allocation based on merit is as follows:

• Reserved Candidates of UP: 85%
• Non-UP Candidates: 15%

The merit list will display the hall ticket numbers of all candidates eligible for Counselling. A category-based merit list for General, SC/ST, OBC, and PwD categories will also be published on the website.

Tie-Breaking Rules

If two or more candidates have the same rank, the following rules are applied in order to break the tie:

1. Total marks obtained in Section-C are used first.
2. If the tie remains, Section-B marks are considered.
3. If the tie still remains, seniority in age is considered.

YVUCET 2024 Counselling

Subject-wise Counselling will be conducted, and a notification will be released one week before the sessions begin. Counselling will be held at the Office of the Directorate of Admissions, Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa.

Seats are allocated to candidates on the basis of merit during Counselling. The process is carried out in two phases: Phase one and Phase two.

• The result of Phase one will be available on the website for candidates to check their qualification status.
• Candidates who qualify in Phase one will proceed to Phase two.
• No traveling expense will be provided for attending the Counselling sessions.

Counselling is held for all candidates listed in the merit list. The counselling fees are as follows:
