NIMCET 2025 Syllabus
NIMCET 2025 syllabus consists of four subjects: Mathematics, Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness and General English. It is a single-paper exam. The syllabus is based on CBSE Class 9 and Class 10.
NIMCET 2025 Exam Pattern
NIMCET 2025 will have a total of 120 multiple-choice questions. The total marks for the exam is 1000 marks. The duration of the exam is two hours.
The highest mark awarded for each correct answer is 12 marks. The highest mark deducted for each wrong answer is 3 marks.
Section-wise Distribution
The question paper covers mathematics, computer awareness, general English, analytical ability and logical reasoning. Mathematics contains the highest number of questions, while computer awareness contains the lowest.

NIMCET 2025 Exam Pattern for Mathematics
This section examines the basic mathematical understanding of the candidates. It contains 50 questions carrying 200 marks. This is the most important section with the highest number of questions and marks.
NIMCET 2025 Exam Pattern for General English
This section checks the basic understanding of language and grammar of the candidates. There are 20 questions from this section carrying 80 marks.
NIMCET 2025 Exam Pattern for Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning
This section examines the thinking skills, non-verbal skills and logical analytics of the candidates. The section contains 20 questions carrying 80 marks.
NIMCET 2025 Exam Pattern for Computer Awareness
This section checks the basic understanding of computer awareness. The lowest number of questions comes from this section, i.e. 10, carrying 40 marks. This section is comparatively easier than the other sections.
NIMCET 2025 Marking Scheme
- Mathematics: 50 questions, each carrying 12 marks. 3 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
- Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning: 40 questions, each carrying 3 marks. 1.5 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
- Computer Awareness: 20 questions, each carrying 6 marks. 1.5 marks deducted as negative marking.
- General English: 10 questions, 4 marks for each correct answer and 1 mark deducted for each wrong answer.
About NIMCET 2025
NIMCET is organized by the National Institute of Technology (NITs) on a rotational basis. It is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to MCA courses at 11 different NITs.
NIMCET Registration 2025 is expected to begin in the 1st week of March 2025. Candidates can apply until the 4th week of April 2025.

NIMCET Syllabus for Mathematics
The mathematics syllabus is larger than the syllabus of other subjects. It is an important subject with the highest number of questions and marks.

NIMCET 2025 Exam Day Instructions
Candidates must follow the instructions given below on the exam day. Not following them can lead to disqualification.
- Reach the exam center 1 hour before the exam starts.
- Carry the NIMCET admit card. Entry is prohibited without it.
- No electronic item is allowed in the examination hall. Such items are considered a subject of cheating.
- No extra rough sheet is allowed. Use the margin in the test booklet for rough work.
- Fill the required details in the answer sheet. The result may not be evaluated if details are missing or incorrect.
- Do not ask the invigilator to clarify doubts on any item in the test booklet.
- Mark answers by darkening the circle in the OMR sheet.
- Use a black or blue ball point pen to shade the bubbles.
