MINISTRY OF CULTURE-FELLOWSHIPS TO OUTSTANDING ARTISTES
About this Scholarship
The Department of Culture invites applications from Indian Nationals for award of Fellowships to Outstanding Artistes in the fields of Performing, Literary and Visual Arts.
The Fellowships are awarded for undertaking research-oriented projects, with both academic research and performance-related research encouraged.
Applicants must provide evidence of their capabilities in undertaking the project, as the Fellowships are not intended for providing training, conducting workshops, seminars, or documenting memories or writing autobiographies/fiction.
A total of 170 Fellowships will be awarded for a maximum period of two years, with 85 Senior Fellowships and 85 Junior Fellowships available.
Senior Fellowships have a value of Rs.12,000/- per month for artistes in the age group of 41 years and above, while Junior Fellowships have a value of Rs.6,000/- per month for artistes in the age group of 25-40 years.
Selected candidates will have to undertake academic or application-oriented research work on the projects for which they have been awarded fellowships and submit a project document within two years.

- Outstanding artistes in the fields of Performing, Literary and Visual Arts
- Age group of 25-40 years for Junior Fellowships and 41 years and above for Senior Fellowships
