About this Scholarship
The Banaras Hindu University Junior Research Fellow is a scholarship for Indian students.
The scholarship is open to students with a consistently high academic record, having at least 55% marks at M.A. in History, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, or Psychology, and a research interest in Nepal.
Applicants must also pass the UGC NET Examination and be willing to take up research on a topic related to Nepal.
The age limit for the scholarship is 28 years, with a five-year relaxation for female and SC/ST candidates.
Reservation for SC/ST candidates is as per the rules of the Indian Government.
The scholarship duration is initially one year, and the value is as per UGC/University rules.
Applications should be submitted on plain paper with attested testimonials and a bio-data to the Coordinator, Centre for the Study of Nepal, Faculty of Social Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi – 221 005 within 30 days from the date of advertisement.
No TA/DA will be given if called for an interview.
