About this Scholarship
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) offers scholarships to Indian students through various projects and research initiatives.
The university invites applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Research Associate (RA) in a CSIR-sponsored project.
The project, 'Novel utilization of in situ generated superoxide ion in organic synthesis', is sanctioned for three years and offers a fellowship of Rs. 8,000 (JRF) or Rs. 11,000 (RA) plus House Rent Allowance (HRA).
The candidates should be M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry) with a National Eligibility Test (NET) or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for JRF, or Ph.D. in Synthetic Chemistry for RA.
The age limit for JRF is 28 years, and 35 years for RA. However, a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit is given to SC/ST, physically handicapped, and female candidates.
SC/ST candidates are preferred as per Government of India rules.
