Scholarships In India, Indian Council Of Medical Research INDIAN COUNCIL OF MEDICAL RESEARCH, Test for ICMR’s Junior Research Fellowship ( Notification 2004) Ramalingaswami Bhavan Ansari Nagar Post Box No. 4911 New Delhi – 110 029 ICMR in collaboration with PGIMER, Chandigarh will hold a national level examination for the award of Junior Research Fellowship(JRF), for Indian national candidates at Chandigarh, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi on Sunday , July 11th, 2004 A total of 100 Fellowships would be awarded ; eighty fellowships would be awarded in Life Sciences stream ( like Microbiology, Physiology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Human Nutrition, Human Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Biophysics, Immunology, Zoology, Botany, Veterinary Sciences etc.,) And twenty fellowships in Social Sciences stream (like Psychology, Sociology, Home Science, Statistics, Environmental Sciences, Anthropology and Social Work) Last date for receipt of application form duly completed is 30.04.2004. Candidates from remote area/region may submit their application forms duly completed latest by 07.05.2004 ELIGIBILITY Educational : MSc.,/M.A or equivalent degree with minimum 55% marks for General / OBC Candidates and 50% for the SC/ST & Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates in the subjects mentioned above. Candidates appearing in the final year examination (2003-2004) can also apply. Age Limit : The upper age limit for admission to the eligibility test is 28 years as on 30.09.2004 (relaxable up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH/female candidates and 3 years in the case of OBC).
