About this Scholarship

National Aptitude Test (NAT) is administered under the aegis of Society for Research & Development in Education (SRDE), Delhi. The test is conducted for students for both at the Under Graduate (NAT-UG) and the Post Graduate (NAT-PG) level. The MHRD does not recognise admission test to management institutions. A letter to this effect received from MHRD can be viewed here. SRDE seeks to provide a common platform to various Management and allied programmes. NAT would not only ascertain the aptitude of the candidates to pursue various management, vocational & professional programmes; but also allows the Institutions to tap the right kind of candidates as its students; based on their skill-set instead of skewed academic records. The Test is an objective type using the OMR technology which has already been vetted by leading Govt./private recognized Institutions of the country. The applicant scores will be supplied to the respective opted-participating institutions for seeking admission in the respective programme. A minimum of 5 such options will be provided to each applicant. However, applicant can request SETS for supply of scores to additional institutions by submitting a formal request in the prescribed proforma. The students may be asked by the concerned institution to appear for counseling, group discussion etc. to be fully satisfied of his or her aptitude for the programme concerned.
