For any enquiry, please contact Liaison officer of the concerned State / UT, whose addresses are given in the advertisement released in the Employment News dates 12th june & in the same Newspaper dated June 10,2004 For Details Log on to www.ncert.nic.in Scheme: National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) awards 1000 Scholarships with a provision of 150 for Scheduled Castes and 75 for Scheduled Tribes to the talented students of Class X each year thorugh its National Talent Search Scheme and then nurture the talent by way of providing financial assistance in the form of both monthly Scholarship and annual book grant. The awardees continue to receive the scholarships upto Ph.D. level for pursuing their education in basic sciences and social sciences including Commerce and Law and up to second-degree level for pursuing professional courses like engineering, medicine and management. Selection Procedure:It is two-stage selection procedure. At first stage, selection is done by individual states/UTs through a written examination. Those candidates, who qualify at the first level examination are only eligible to appear for the second level examination conducted by NCERT Eligibility: The andidates studying in class X in a recognized school as a regular student in a State/UT are eligible to appear at the State level examination from the state in which the school is located.No domicile restriction is imposed.
