Overview

The OET assesses four language skills—Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking—within healthcare contexts. Test materials are based on real clinical scenarios so candidates read, listen to, and respond to patient cases, case notes, discharge summaries and role-plays with a healthcare professional. The test is administered by Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment Trust and is accepted by more than fifteen regulatory bodies across the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland and the United Arab Emirates.
