Overview
The All India Forensic Science Entrance Test (AIFSET) is a national-level entrance examination for students seeking admission to forensic science programmes at participating universities. It is used for undergraduate programmes such as B.Sc. Forensic Science and postgraduate programmes such as M.Sc. Forensic Science and related courses.
For undergraduate admission, AIFSET is intended for students who have completed or are appearing in Class 12 with the required science subjects. For postgraduate admission, graduates with the required science or forensic science background can apply. The exact admission requirements can vary by participating university and programme.
AIFSET 2026 is conducted as an online, remotely proctored examination. Candidates can take the test using a mobile phone, laptop or desktop with an internet connection. The examination has a single paper with 100 multiple-choice questions, a duration of 60 minutes and a maximum of 100 marks. Each correct answer carries one mark and there is no negative marking.
After the examination, candidates can view their results online and use their AIFSET result or rank for the subsequent counselling and admission process at participating institutions, subject to the institution's eligibility and admission rules.
