The AP EAPCET 2026 Registration process has started on 4th Feb 2026 on its official website. The AP EAPCET exams are scheduled to be held from 12th May to 20th May 2026 for admission to undergraduate engineering, agriculture, and pharmacy courses in Andhra Pradesh.

• The Engineering stream, the paper consists of Mathematics (80 questions), Physics (40), and Chemistry (40).

The AP EAPCET 2025 Eligibility is decided by JNTU on behalf of the APSCHE.To be considered eligible, the candidates should fulfill age restrictions, educational requirements, and specified residency requirements.

AP EAPCET 2025 Eligibility

The AP EAPCET 2025 Eligibility is formed to make the candidates eligible according to the required academic, age, and residency criteria to sit for the entrance test. AP EAPCET 2025 Reservation Policies

Reservation policies of AP EAPCET 2025 are made to provide fair access to higher education for different categories of candidates. The policies are as per the APSCHE guidelines and the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

• Category Reservation: Seats are earmarked for candidates of certain categories, such as Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), etc. The percentage of reservations can be precise and is determined by the applicable government rules.
• Horizontal Reservation: Horizontal reservations are offered in all categories for some reservations, i.e., women, differently-abled people, and children of defense personnel.
• Special Categories: Provision is made for candidates belonging to special categories such as NCC, CAP, Sports, etc., who can have different eligibility criteria and percentages of reservation.

• SC (Scheduled Castes): SC candidates can claim 15% reservation in Engineering as well as in Agriculture/Pharmacy courses. ST (Scheduled Tribes): 6% of seats are reserved for ST category candidates.
• BC (Backward Classes): The BC category is further sub-divided into BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D, and BC-E, and together they are given 29% reservation.
• EWS (Economically Weaker Sections): 10% reservation of seats is provided for applicants belonging to the EWS category, which was added recently in order to bring social and educational parity.
• Women (Horizontal Reservation): 33% of the total number of available seats are reserved for women candidates in all categories.
• Differently-abled (PH): 3% of seats are horizontally reserved for differently-abled candidates (with a minimum of 40% disability).

AP EAPCET 2025 Eligibility Age Limit

The AP EAPCET 2025 has specific age limit criteria for candidates aspiring to pursue undergraduate courses in Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy.

Engineering and Pharmacy Courses:

• Minimum Age: The candidates should have attained 16 years of age as of December 31, 2025.
• Maximum Age: There is no maximum age limit for these courses.

Agriculture and Specific Engineering Courses (e.g., B.Tech. Dairy Technology, B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering, B.Tech. Food Science and Technology, B.Sc. Agricultural Engineering):

AP EAMCET 2025 Qualifying Marks

For General and OBC Candidates, they must obtain at least 25% of the total marks to be eligible for the examination. Since the exam is out of 160 marks, this would mean a minimum of 40 marks.

SC/ST Candidates, there is no minimum qualifying mark stipulated for candidates of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Nevertheless, their admission is restricted to the extent of reserved seats for such categories.

What are the cutoff marks for EAMCET 2025?

The relationship between marks obtained and corresponding ranks can vary each year based on factors such as the number of candidates, exam difficulty, and seat availability.

• Applicants with 160–150 marks are most likely to obtain top 10 ranks, allowing them to select highly competitive branches in top-notch institutions.
• Those with 149–140 marks will obtain ranks between 11–50, permitting admission into top colleges, albeit perhaps with less popular courses.
• A mark between 139–120 marks (rank 50–500) still allows admission in reputable colleges, but applicants might have to accept less competitive branches.
• Scores between 119–100 (rank 500–1500) could lead to opportunities in tier-2 colleges, while scores of less than 100 (rank 1500–30,000) indicate a greater dependence on private colleges or low-demand programs.

With decreasing marks, candidates would be inclined towards private colleges or newer fields with lower applications.

In the previous year, out of 258,374 students who appeared for the Engineering stream exam, 195,092 candidates successfully cleared it, marking a pass rate of 75.51%.

The Application Form 2025 is likely to start in March 2025 and end by April 2025, with late submission and late fee arrangements stretching through May 2025.

In 2024, 194,752 candidates registered for the Engineering stream, comprising 115,381 male candidates and 79,371 female candidates, reflecting a dominant male enrollment.

In contrast, the Agriculture stream had 87,744 registrations, with a larger number of female candidates (60,471) than male candidates (27,273).

These shifts in gender distribution reflect a growing interest among female candidates in traditionally male-dominated fields (Engineering) and a rise in female interest in Agriculture-related courses.

The AP EAPCET 2026 exam pattern is the same as it was for previous years for undergraduate admissions to engineering, agriculture, and pharmacy courses in Andhra Pradesh. The Exam is conducted by JNTU Kakinada on behalf of APSCHE.

• The exam is based on the CBT mode having 160 questions.
• The exam has 2 streams, one is Engineering (MPC), having Physics (40 questions), Chemistry (40 Questions, and Maths (80 Questions).

• The marking scheme for AP EAPCET 2026 follows a simple policy of assigning a +1 mark for a correct answer, and there is no negative marking.

APSCHE releases AP EAPCET (AP EAMCET) Marks Declaration Form that is to be mandatorily filled by candidates who have completed their Class 11th & 12th from boards other than Board of Intermediate Education (BIE)- AP & TS. The declaration form is used to declare subject-wise scores in intermediate exams. Students are required to mail their declaration forms to the APSCHE headquarters or submit it in person.

What is the AP EAMCET Results 2025 Normalization Process?

The authorities will implement a normalizing process for AP EAMCET results to arrive at a normalised score across all the slots for which the exam will be held. Since the AP EAMCET exam 2024 is administered over multiple days and times, normalization is employed to prevent any parity in the difficulty level of the questions.

AP EAMCET Results Tie-breaking Rule

The following tie-breaking procedure will be used by the authorities if two or more applicants receive the identical scores on the AP EAPCET exam,

• Candidates with strong math scores in the part will be given preference.
• Should there still be a tie, the applicant with the better Physics score will be given preference based on merit.
• Candidates with a high percentage of marks in the qualifying exam will be given preference if there is still a tie after the first two steps.
• If there is a tie after all the aforementioned guidelines, candidates who are older will be given preference.

AP EAMCET Results: Weightage & Rank

25% of Class 12 marks and 75% of AP EAMCET normalized scores are taken into consideration for admission.

• Candidates with qualifying marks in the AP EAMCET 2024 are given zero for any normalized mark(s) in the relevant subject(s) if, after normalization, the marks in any one or more of the subjects become negative. All three subjects' combined grades, however, are regarded as AS EAPCET marks.
• If, following normalization, the marks in all three subjects go below zero (negative), the candidates for whom there is no qualifying cut-off in the AP EAPCET 2024 are considered to have no marks overall, and a rank is awarded. Even though they are negative, AP EAPCET 2024 normalization marks are used to break ties if they continue.
