HBSE 10th Grading System FAQs

Ques: How are my class 10 HBSE 2026 percentage marks calculated?

Ans: If the student obtains the passing marks in all six subjects, the best five of them are to be considered while calculating the grade point average or percentage marks. If the same lowest marks are scored in two subjects, the subjects are chosen as per the following order (decreasing preference) for computing percentage: Hindi, English, Mathematics, Social Science, Science and Technology.

Ques: What if I fall short by one mark in a subject Class 10 HBSE 2026 board exams?

Ans: The teachers provide a grace mark if a student is falling short by only a mark in as many subjects as the case may be. But, this must not be confused with an extra mark, as it will not be reflected in the overall score.

Note: If you unfortunately fail to pass in the Hindi (second language paper) but pass in your Sanskrit sixth language paper, the latter will replace the former while calculating your percentage. You will be considered “Passed” provided you pass the other four core subjects.

HBSE 10th Result 2026: Rechecking and Revaluation Policy

The main purpose of the HBSE 10th exam 2026 rechecking/revaluation is to address student-specific grievances about discrepancies between expected and obtained scores. The BSEH board claims to ‘seriously and cautiously’ check if every answer has been correctly evaluated, and ensure proper totalling of marks.

The following must be kept in mind regarding the revaluation/rechecking of answer scripts:

  • The rechecking/ revaluation request must be submitted through form fill-up, along with online gateway payment of INR 250/- or INR 1000/- respectively for each subject.
  • The fee is non-refundable. A concession is possible for candidates who qualify as BPL.
  • Rechecking is provisional to the availability of the student's answer booklet. If the booklet is misplaced, the original scores will be deemed final, and the fee might be refunded.
  • The student concerned can take admission in the next higher class on the basis of the original HBSE 10th result 2026 before the re-evaluated scores are available.
  • A photocopy of the original answer booklet will be issued to the student upon payment of INR 500/-.
  • Under all circumstances, the Bhiwani court’s ruling has final bearing.

HBSE 10th Revaluation FAQs

Ques: What if I fail in a subject after revaluation?

Ans: You will need to appear for the HBSE 10th Compartment exams 2026.
