JET 2026 eligibility criteria include general conditions and discipline-specific conditions. Applicants must check all criteria carefully to avoid rejection of their application.

JET 2026 Application Form Details

JET Application Fee Payment

Applicants must draw a Demand Draft of 600 INR in favor of "JET University-SET" payable at Bengaluru. The DD must be attached with the filled in online Application Form.

JET 2026 ran in four phases. Phase 1 was held on April 9-10, 2026, and Phase 4 on June 25, 2026, with two more phases in between. All four results are declared, and the cumulative merit list for 2026 is final.

How to Check JET 2026 Result

Visit the official result portal at set.jainuniversity.ac.in/jet-results. Log in with your credentials to view your scorecard.

If the portal is slow or not loading, high traffic right after result declaration is the usual cause. Wait a few minutes and try again. Check your registered email inbox for the result notification from JAIN University — it usually carries a direct link to your scorecard, bypassing the main result page.

You can check your result on a mobile phone. The result portal works on mobile browsers. Open it on your phone, log in, review your scorecard, and download the PDF directly. No app is needed.

Merit List and Score Calculation

JAIN University uses your best score across all phases you attempted in 2026. If you appeared in Phase 1 and Phase 4 and scored higher in Phase 4, your Phase 4 score drives your merit rank. The system applies this automatically — no action is needed from you.

There is no fixed minimum score cutoff for JET. Every candidate who appears is ranked, and counselling works through the merit list until seats are filled. The only prerequisites are meeting your chosen programme's Class 12 eligibility percentage (typically 50%) and registering for counselling within the announced window.

Expected Cutoff for B.Tech CSE

Based on 2025 data, B.Tech CSE at JAIN University closed around rank 800-1,200 in the final round. Demand has tightened every year, and 2026 is likely to follow the same trend.

The confirmed 2026 closing rank will be known only after Round 3 ends in July. Targeting a rank under 1,000 gives you the best chance across all rounds.

Reservation Policy

JAIN University is a private deemed university and does not follow the constitutional reservation system (SC/ST/OBC) for JET admissions. It does offer institutional scholarships and fee concessions to economically weaker students and high achievers.

Round 3 Counselling

Round 3 counselling is confirmed for July 2026. JAIN University will publish the exact registration start date, preference-filling window, and allotment date on the official portal at set.jainuniversity.ac.in/jet-results and jainuniversity.ac.in/jet-ug. Check both pages regularly for updates.

You can try for a programme upgrade in Round 3 if you already have a seat from Round 1 or 2. But check the official upgrade rules at set.jainuniversity.ac.in first — accepting a new allotment may cancel your current seat. Do not register for an upgrade unless you are prepared to lose the existing seat if the upgrade does not come through.

Documents Required for Verification

Bring originals and self-attested photocopies of the following documents for Round 3 verification:

• Class 10 marksheet and certificate
• Class 12 marksheet and certificate
• Transfer certificate
• Migration certificate (if applicable)
• JET 2026 scorecard
• Valid government-issued photo ID
• At least six recent passport-size photographs

Re-evaluation and Result Validity

JET is a computer-based Remote Proctored Test and results are system-generated, so standard re-evaluation does not apply. If you spot a factual error on your scorecard — wrong name, date of birth, or an entry you believe is incorrect — contact JAIN University's admissions helpdesk through jainuniversity.ac.in right away.

JET 2026 results are valid only for the 2026-27 academic year. They cannot carry forward to 2027. You will need to appear in JET 2027 to apply in the next cycle.
