Kerala Law Entrance Exam Application Process

KLEE 2025 Registration and Application Dates

CEE Kerala started the KLEE registration 2025 for LLM from June 28, 2025. Candidates must register on the official website – cee.kerala.gov.in by July 10, 2025 (5 PM) and remit the required application fee within the date during the submission of online application.

KLEE 2025 application fee is Rs. 900/- (Rupees Nine Hundred only) for General and SEBC candidates and Rs. 450/- (Rupees Four Hundred and Fifty only) for SC/ST candidates.

KLEE 2025 Entrance Examinations registration for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB was open till May 19, 2025, 12 noon.

KLEE 2025 will be on June 1, 2025 in computer based test (CBT) mode, instead of May 25. The exam will be conducted at centres across all districts in Kerala.

KLEE is conducted by the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examination for admission to Integrated Five Year LL.B Course in the four Government Law Colleges of Kerala and in the Private Self-financing Law Colleges of Kerala which have entered into a seat-sharing agreement with the State Government.

KLEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The three eligibility parameters for appearing in KLEE 2025 have been issued by CEE:

1. Nativity: Only candidates with valid proof of Indian citizenship can appear for KLEE 2025.

2. Academic:

KLEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

KLEE stands for Kerala Law Entrance Examination. The exam is conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria before applying.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala. An equivalent examination recognized by Universities in Kerala is also accepted.

  • Candidates who have cleared 10+2 level from any school recognized by central or state government's educational authority can apply.
  • Equivalent educational qualifications as deemed by Bar Council of India are also accepted.
  • Candidates possessing a Higher Secondary pass certificate or first-degree certificate from distance learning or correspondence can apply.
  • CEE does not allow candidates who have cleared 10+2, graduation or post-graduation directly through open universities, with no fundamental qualification to prosecute such studies.
  • Candidates who are either appearing or have already appeared (result awaited) for the qualifying exam can also apply. Admission will be subject to securing required marks in the qualifying examination.

Age Limit

The minimum age of the candidate as of December 31, 2025, should be 17 years. The maximum age is still to be decided by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India.

In case of age restriction, as per clause 28 of Legal Education Rules, 2008 of Bar Council of India is re-established, then candidates with a specific age limit will be permitted to apply for the exam.

KLEE 2025 Application Form: How to Fill Form?

Following are the five steps to be covered by candidates for successfully completing KLEE Registration:

KLEE New Registration

  • Go to the official website of CEE and click on the 'LLB 5-year' tab.
  • Click on LLB 5-year 2025.
  • Click on the 'Apply Online' tab.
  • Click on Integrated Five Year LL.B Course 2025 - Online Application.
  • Click on the 'Registration' tab.
  • Fill Registration Form.
  • The candidate will reach the Registration Confirmation page. Click on the 'Confirm' tab if all details are correct, to make changes click on the 'Edit' tab.
  • After clicking on confirm, an application number will be generated. Click on 'Proceed to KLEE Registration/Application'.

Fill in KLEE 2025 Application

  • Fill in all the details carefully and correctly in the Application form.
  • Recheck all details filled in the form and click on the 'Save & Preview' tab.
  • A preview of KLEE Application will appear. Carefully read all details. If modifications are required, click on the 'Edit' tab, otherwise tick two square boxes under Declaration and click the 'Final Submission' tab.

Pay KLEE 2025 Application Fee

  • Click on the 'Pay KLEE Application Fee' tab.
  • Pay KLEE Application Fee through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or E-Challan Sub/Head Post Offices in Kerala and Lakshadweep.
  • Select the mode of payment from Online Payment and E-Challan.
  • On selecting E-Challan, Instruction for payment through E-Challan will appear, along with a link to Print E-Challan. Candidate should print E-Challan and follow the instruction to make payment through it.
  • On selecting 'Online Payment', the candidate should click the 'Go for Payment' tab.
  • Read payment instructions and 'Online Payment Policies' carefully. Then click on 'Proceed to Pay'.
  • Make payment through Credit Card, Debit Card + ATM PIN or Internet Banking.

Upload Documents for KLEE Registration

Candidates will have to upload scanned images of their photograph. Candidates will also have to upload scanned images of the following certificates, wherever applicable:

  1. Certificate to Prove Nativity for Keralites.
  2. Non-Creamy Layer Certificate for SEBC/OEC Candidate.
  3. Inter-caste Marriage Certificate (child of an inter-caste marriage couple of whom one of them is SC/ST).
  4. Certificate for Ex-Service Men.
  5. Claim for Children of Serving Defence/Para Military.

Candidates will also have to upload certificates to validate their academic qualifications. Candidates will have to upload one of the following proof of Nativity:

  1. Copy of birth certificate issued by either panchayat or municipality or corporation, entailing details or candidate's place of birth in any State or Union Territory.
  2. Copy of Secondary School Leaving Certificate, depicting the place of birth in any State or Union Territory.
  3. Page of the passport showing the place of birth of the candidate.
  4. Original Certificate from a Village Officer or competent authority (in prescribed format) verifying candidate's nativity of any State or Union Territory.
