PU CET UG 2024 Exam Pattern
PU CET UG 2024 will be held in offline pen and paper mode. The question paper will contain four subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. The paper will be set only in English.
Each subject has 60 questions carrying 120 marks. The syllabus follows the CBSE class 11 and 12 syllabus for the session 2022-24.

Exam Pattern in Detail
PUCET 2024 is conducted by Punjab University, Chandigarh. Candidates must answer in English. Qualifying the test is required for admission to various degree courses at Punjab University.

Marking Scheme
According to the PU CET UG 2024 marking scheme, +2 marks are given for correct answers. A 25% mark is deducted for incorrect attempts.

Syllabus
Candidates should study the 10+1 and 10+2 Science syllabus as per the conducting board. No additional syllabus is prescribed by the conducting body.
PU CET UG 2024 Exam Pattern
The Punjab University Combined Entrance Test (PU CET) for undergraduate courses is a multiple-choice question (MCQ) based exam. Each subject paper contains 60 questions.

PU CET UG 2024 Marking Scheme
Each question in the PU CET carries 2 marks. The maximum total for each subject is 120 marks.
The exam follows a negative marking scheme. For every incorrect response, 0.5 marks, or 25% of the marks, will be deducted. No marks are deducted for unanswered questions.

PU CET UG 2024 Exam Instructions
Candidates will receive an OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheet to record their answers. They must fill the bubble completely for the option they choose.
These are the guidelines candidates should follow during the exam:
- Read the rules and norms mentioned on the question and answer booklet.
- Hand over both the Question and Answer booklets to the invigilator before leaving the exam hall.
- Do not tear, remove, or write anything other than the required details on the booklets.
- Calculators are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
- Rough work should be done on the back of the question paper where a section for rough work is provided.
- Answers should be attempted only on the Answer OMR sheet.
- Darken only one circle for each answer.
- Negative marking is used in evaluation, so attempt questions only if you are sure of the answer.
