Purvanchal University Combined Admission Test

Where the test is conducted, it is an objective paper set at a level appropriate to the programme applied for. Management entry is generally tested on verbal ability, quantitative ability, reasoning and general awareness, while other postgraduate programmes are tested on the subject studied at the bachelor's level. Candidates apply through the university's admission portal, sit the paper at a centre in the region, and are placed on a merit list used for counselling and seat allotment to the university's campus departments and its affiliated colleges. Some programmes add an interview or group discussion stage before the final list is prepared, and reservation rules of the state government apply to seat allotment. For programmes covered by the national common university test or by the state's centralised professional admission process, admission is made from those results instead.
