Assam HSLC Exam Pattern 2023-24: Highlights
The Assam HSLC Exams will be conducted from February 16 to March 4, 2024. Students appearing for the exam should check the subject-wise blueprint and prepare for each subject accordingly.

Subjects in Class 10
There are 6 subjects in Class 10 under the Assam HSLC Exam Pattern. The subjects are:
- First Language
- Second Language (English)
- General Science
- General Mathematics
- Social Science
- Elective Subject
Students opting for English (IL) in First Language have to choose one In Lieu Languages subject. If a student chooses one MIL Language (including group C of MIL) in the first language, then he or she cannot opt for the same language as an elective subject.
Assam HSLC Subject-Wise Marking Scheme 2024
The maximum marks for a subject in Assam HSLC Exams 2024 are 100. The marks are divided into theory, internal assessment, and practical marks as per the subject.
For the main subjects like English, General Science, General Mathematics, and Social Science, there are no practical exams. The total marks for these subjects are divided into theory and internal assessment only.
- For each subject, the passing marks are 30 out of the total 100 marks.
- If a candidate secures less than 30% in one or two subjects, then the candidate should appear for the supplementary exam.
The total marks for each subject are 100. For the main subjects, including Science, Social Science, English, and Mathematics, the theory paper is conducted for 90 marks and the remaining 10 marks are allotted to the internal assessment.
The overall passing marks in all the subjects are 30. For theory papers worth 90 marks, the pass marks are 27, and 3 marks are required out of 10 to pass the internal assessment.
