About SLIET Entrance Exam

The Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology Entrance Exam is the admission test for this institute. It is commonly known as SLIET Entrance Test or SLIET.

For every incorrect answer, 1/4 of the total marks allotted to the question is deducted. There is negative marking if a question is left blank.

SLIET SET 2026: Seat Allotment

SLIET conducts online counselling in multiple rounds at slietexam.co.in. The 1st Round ICD seat allotment is currently live.

If allotted a seat, the token fee must be paid by May 28, 2026 to confirm it. Missing this deadline means the allotment is cancelled.

How the counselling process works

1. Choice Filling: Log in to slietexam.co.in and fill preferred programs and trades in order of priority within the given window.
2. Seat Allotment Published: SLIET publishes the round-wise seat allotment based on merit rank and choices.
3. Token Fee Payment: Pay ₹5,000 to confirm the allotted seat. This amount is adjustable against the full programme fees at the time of final reporting.
4. Upgradation Rounds: Participate in Round 2 and Round 3 for a higher-preference trade or program. If an upgrade is available based on rank, it happens automatically. The original allotment is retained if no upgrade is found.
5. Final Reporting: After the final round, report to SLIET campus with original documents and pay the remaining programme fees.

The token fee of ₹5,000 is only a seat confirmation deposit, not the full programme fee. The full fees are paid at final reporting after document verification at the SLIET campus.

If vacant seats remain after all three regular rounds, a special or spot round is announced for eligible candidates who did not get seats earlier.

Missed Token Fee Deadline

If the ₹5,000 token fee is not paid by May 28, 2026, the Round 1 ICD seat allotment will be cancelled. The candidate may still be eligible to participate in later rounds if seats are available and they remain in the merit list.

The Round 1 allotment cannot be reinstated.

Seat Upgrade After Token Fee Payment

Yes. After paying the token fee in Round 1, candidates can participate in Round 2 and Round 3 upgradations. If a higher-preference trade or program becomes available for the rank, the upgrade is given automatically.
