Overview
The CAT Registration 2024 window is open for the candidates. The last date of registration is September 13th, 2024. Candidates willing to participate in the exam can apply through iimcat.ac.in. IIM Calcutta will conduct the exam on November 24th, 2024.
Your CAT 2024 and CUET PG score will be considered for TISSNET 2025 admission. Since last year, the authority has scrapped the exam process. TISS offers a total of 57 PG courses. It accepts CUET PG scores for courses like MBA, MA, M.Sc, and M.Ed. For MA in Human Resource Management and Labour Relations and in Organisation Development Change and Leadership, it accepts CAT score.

TISS National Entrance Test is Known as TISSNET. Through this university-level entrance exam, admission to PG programmes such as social work, human resource management, and public development studies offered by TISS. Are You Eligible?
- You should have successfully completed a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree of minimum of 3 or 4 years duration or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern from a university recognized by the UGC of India.
- While Applying, make sure that you have passed all the subjects in 3-year/4-year degree programmes during your course of study.
- Until a candidate submits their degree certificate and final mark/grade sheet as evidence of having successfully completed the eligibility criteria by the given date, the admission offered will remain provisional.

- The total number of questions will be 75 in each subject.

CAT
- A total of 66 Questions will be there.

How You Should Prepare?
IF you are Preparing for CUET PG, your strategy will be different. For CUET PG preparation you will have to obtain domain based knowledge.
- For that, try to pick the best 2-3 books on the same topics.
- Make short notes from each book on similar topics. Compare the notes. It will help you to understand the concept well.
- Besides that, try to solve questions from previous year’s papers.
- Once you are done with the syllabus try to give as much mock as you can. Don’t forget to evaluate your performance after the mock.
- Analyse your mistakes and try to correct them. If needed, highlight them or make short notes on them.
- A few days before the exam, try to revise those notes only.

Ques:When is the TISSNET Exam going to be held?
Ans: There is no separate exam for TISS. Admission will be offered through CUET PG and CAT.
Ques:What is TISSNET MBA?
Ans: Admission to various post graduation programs used to happen through TISSNET including MBA. However, from 2024-2025 academic year there will be no separate admission test. Your CUET PG and CAT score will be considered during counselling.
Eligibility
TISSNET exam has been replaced with CUET PG 2024 exam for admission into PG courses. As per CUET PG eligibility criteria, you must obtain atleast 50% in the relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent. No specific age bar has been set by the official to appear at CUET PG exam.
You must be an Indian national to appear for CUET PG exam. This year, CUET PG exam was conducted from March 11 to March 28, 2024 and the result came out on April 13, 2024. If you want to get selected for your desired PG course, you have to appear for an online assessment taken by three panel members of Tezpur University.
As per TISS 2024 selection process, you will be considered for admission with 75% weightage in CUET PG and 25% in online assessment. During the online assessment, you will get certain topics on which you have to put forward your opinions in 2-3 minutes. Post-completion of the interview rounds, the official will release an open merit list of all shortlisted students. Also, a tie-breaking policy is used if two or more students obtain the same scores.
TISSNET (CUET PG) 2024 Eligibility Criteria
NTA has published the eligibility criteria for appearing at CUET PG 2024 exam as written below:
Nationality
Indian Nationals belonging to certain categories are admitted under the seats reserved for them in accordance with the rules prescribed by the Government of India.
Age Limit
There is no minimum or maximum age limit to sit for CUET PG entrance examination.
Educational Qualifications
You must obtain bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant fields, No minimum qualifying marks is set from the end of NTA. However, it is advised to score 50% or above in aggregate to keep yourself in a safe side.
Factors Determining TISSNET (CUET PG) Eligibility 2024
Tata Institute of Social Sciences has laid out a few factors that will determine if a candidate is eligible to fill CUET PG application form or not. They are as follows –
- ‘Pass Class’ indicated in the Bachelor’s Degree of the candidate would be used for the purpose of determining their eligibility.
- Candidates in the final year of 3 or 4 years of graduation and have not cleared all the courses (main, major or substitute) of 1st and 2nd year are not eligible to apply for the exam.
- Candidates with 10+2+2+1 bridge course pattern or any other pattern with 15 years of formal education from a recognized university/ institute are eligible to apply.
- Only those candidates who will be able to complete all the requirements of their final year Bachelor's Degree examinations by June 2024, are eligible to apply to all TISS Courses.
- If any information provided in the application form is identified as incorrect or misleading, it will result in cancellation of the candidature.
- If a candidate has failed in the final year exam of their Bachelor’s Degree, he/ she will not be allowed to take part in the entrance exam for admission in programs offered by TISS.
- Candidates who are provided admissions provisionally but he/ she fails in the final year will not be allowed to continue the program.
- Candidates will be required to produce all original marksheets and other documents at the time of the interview. However, candidates will be given provisional admission if they fail to do so, provided they submit the mark sheets by the specified date. Check TISSNET Selection Process

Application Process
TISSNET exam has been replaced with CUET PG for admission into PG courses. CUET PG application process is entirely online. This year, the headcount of CUET PG unique registration is 4,62,589, which surpassed previous year’s numbers. CUET PG 2024 application fee set for the general category is INR 1200, for OBC-NCL/Gen-EWS is INR 1000, and INR 900 and 800 for SC/ ST/ Third Gender and PwD students respectively.
The registration for CUET PG 2024 exam is entirely online. As per CUET PG eligibility criteria to fill the application form, you must have a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Firsly, you need to register with your valid email ID and mobile number. Followed by this, a strong password needs to be created. After the login credentials are created, you must use it to fill in the details inside the application form.
NTA also offers the facility of CUET PG application form correction. Details like your mobile number, email address, and residential address are some non-editable fields. You can however modify details such as, date of birth, gender, and category. The official has also released a list, from which you can modify any one field also.

Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai conducts TISS National Entrance Test (TISSNET). It is a university-level entrance exam conducted for admission to PG programs such as social work, human resource management, and public development studies offered by TISS. Is TISSNET a Difficult Exam?
The TISSNET exam is moderately difficult for most students. However, the difficulty level always depends on how well you have prepared for the test. As per the last year’s question analysis:
- The Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability section had a total of 30 questions with 22 from Quant, six from Data Interpretation, and two from Logical Reasoning. This section was the easiest to attempt for the candidate who was well prepared.
- The General Awareness section was of moderate difficulty level. There was an equal distribution of questions between Current Affairs and Static GK.
- The questions in the English Proficiency & Language Skills section were of easy to moderate level barring a few from the Fill in the Blanks.

Cut-offs
TISSNET exam has been scrapped. CUET PG 2024 cut off marks will be considered for admission into PG courses of Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Candidates apart from CUET PG 2024 cut off, are also required to attend an online assessment for admission. Weightage for admission is calculated based on 75% in CUET PG exam and 25% in the online assessment.
CUET PG 2024 result has been announced on April 13, 2024. NEET cut off for general categories is expected to be between 190-220. Also, for those in reserved categories, you can expect the cut off in between 180 to 195. NTA also does take any responsibility for publishing CUET PG 2024 merit list. It will be published from the end of the university official.
The online assessment for admission is done by a three-member panel and lasts till 20-25 minutes. If you got selected on the merit list of a program of higher preference, you shall not be considered on the waitlist of lower preference courses. What after Clearing CUET PG 2024 Cutoff?
Candidates who qualify CUET PG 2024 cutoff will be shortlisted for the subsequent selection rounds. The final list of selected candidates has been declared on the official website. TISSNET Selection Procedure will evaluate a candidate in the following stages:
- Score in CUET PG
- Online Assessments (OA)
Candidates who score more than or equal to CUET PG 2024 cutoff marks will be called for a Pre-Interview session and Personal Interview. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in TISSNET 2023, PIT, and Interview in the following weightage.
Results
TISSNET exam has been replaced with CUET PG 2024 exam. CUET PG 2024 results were released on April 13, 2024. The admission into Tezpur University's PG course will be based on both CUET PG 2024 scores and a personal online interview.
If we talk about TISSNET 2024 selection process, 75% marks in CUET PG and 25% marks in a personal interview round mandated by the official. Now, some of you might think about the kind of questions that can be asked during an online interview round. You will be asked to put your opinion about a given topic for 2-3 minutes. The total time for which online assessment is done is 20-25 minutes by three panel members. You can ask for a second topic if not comfortable with the initial topic given. It is advised to put forward your opinions in a simple manner by using a good vocabulary of words for a better chance of getting selected.
Tezpur University publishes an open merit list (OML) based on your obtained scores in CUET PG 2024 exam. During the final merit list preparation, if two or more students obtain similar scores, then a tie-breaking policy will be implemented. The wait list for each program will be prepared by Tezpur University, following the same rules as of merit list.

Tezpur University 2024 Open Merit List (OML)
In order to understand the merit list and its calculation and its procedure, we first have to be acquainted with the marking system of the selection round viz., Personal Interview. Details are as follows:
- Open Merit List (OML) is prepared based on the aggregate mark obtained by the candidates for a specific programme without considering any reservation category. This provides an opportunity for candidates across all categories to get selected in the OML depending on their aggregate score.
- After considering candidates in OML, a separate Category-wise Merit List (CML) will be prepared for the number of seats reserved for each category as per the Government of India / University Grants Commission regulations on the matter. All reservation rules will be applied at the Final merit list/seat allotment stage.
- In case of a tie between two or more candidates with their aggregate final score, the following order will be used to rank the candidates.
- Candidates who got selected in the first preference their names will not be listed in the second and third preference in the merit list.
- Candidates who got selected for the programme of their first preference will not be on wait lists for any other programme mentioned in their list of preferences
- In addition to the aggregate final score the candidate will be able to view the scorecard indicating the mark received in each of the components (CUET PG Score and OA).
- Choice or preferences of Programmes indicated in the application form by the candidate at the time of filling online application form cannot be changed at any point after submission of the application form. Any request for change or modification in this regard shall not be entertained or responded to
How is Open Merit List (OML) Prepared?
For the purpose of merit list preparation, the distribution of marks of all stages is given in the above table. The process for Reserved Category and General Category candidates is the same. Tezpur University’s merit list 2024 will be prepared on the basis of merit and the preferences indicated at the time of filling the Application Form. (Kindly Indicate your preferences carefully as it has implications for the merit list)

Rules for Preparation of Wait-list
- Candidates who get admission to the program of their first preference will not be on TISSNET waitlists for any other program mentioned in their list of preferences.
- If a candidate gets admission into any program which is their second preference, will only be retained in the waitlist of the first preference. A candidate who gets admission into any program which is their third preference will be retained in the waitlist of their first and second preference
- Candidates, who got admitted in a program lower in their order of preferences, will be retained in the wait-list of a preference higher in the order, till the seats in that program are filled.
- In case, the candidate qualified in two programs at the same time, when the waitlist is activated, the higher preference will prevail. The Institute will offer admission only to the higher preference.
- When a candidate who has already taken admission in a program as per the first merit list is subsequently offered a higher preference when the waitlist is activated, he will be moved into the program of higher preference and will be informed.
