TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) is a standard for assessing English-language skills for the global workplace. Conducted by ETS, the TOEIC test is accepted and trusted by 14,000+ organizations in more than 160 countries. TOEIC English exam has 4 tests:

TOEIC English Test 2025 Dates

TOEIC test is conducted in two sessions:

• Public Test Sessions: Official dates for US and Canada
• Institutional Test Sessions: Offered by language schools or other organizations around the year.

ETS conducts the TOEIC exam test officially 12 times a year (once in a month, 1st or 2nd Saturday) in the USA and Canada. Test takers from India and countries (other than US and Canada) can contact their local ETS Preferred Network (EPN) Office for available test dates and centers.

TOEIC Score

ETS follows a rigorous and standardized scoring process to ensure fairness and accuracy. TOEIC tests are evaluated by certified and calibrated ETS raters, who are continuously monitored throughout the scoring process. Each test is reviewed by multiple raters to maintain objectivity and consistency. TOEIC scores are valid for two years from the date of the test.

• 4-Skills Test/ TOEIC Link:
  • Listening and Reading sections: From 5 to 495 points each, total 10 to 990 points.
  • Speaking and Writing sections: From 0 to 200 points each.

TOEIC registration can be done 12 times in a year. You can simply complete TOEIC test registration online or by mail before the application deadline. If your country does not have EPN office, you need to contact the ETS officials to complete TOEIC test registration. The fees of TOEIC exam application form will cost depending on your local ETS Branch office. Princeton operates TOEIC and Related Services in India. TOEIC registration fees can be paid through major credit and debit cards like Visa, Mastercard, Rupay, etc. Or you can use PayPal or E- check service. The E-check must be drawn against U.S. bank accounts only.

TOEIC online registration process has certain eligibility criteria, and you need to follow the identification requirements properly. You must submit a valid Govt registered photo ID like; a driver’s license, passport, etc. You also need to upload a color photo during the registration process. Your photo is sized such that the head is between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches; 22 mm and 35 mm. The photo must be taken in full-face view directly facing the camera, and light-colored background. The maximum size of your TOEIC registration photo should be less than 1 MB.

TOEIC Registration Dates

ETS officially administers the TOEIC exam 12 times a year—typically on the first or second Saturday of each month—in the USA and Canada. Test takers in India and other countries outside the US and Canada should reach out to their local ETS Preferred Network (EPN) office for information on available test dates and centers.

The registration deadline for the Public Testing Sessions is up to 5 PM on Thursdays of the preceding weeks of the test days. For instance, if the preferred test day is Saturday, November 15, 2025 (tentatively) then applicant must register before 5:00 PM on Thursday, November 6, 2025 (tentatively).

TOEIC Eligibility

Any person who is able to read, write, speak and understand basic English can take the test to obtain a globally acknowledged score for academic or professional purpose.

• There is no age limit to appear for the test.
• ETS does not require any minimum educational qualification.

TOEIC Registration Process

Registration for TOEIC can be done through any of the two modes – online Registration or Registration by mail. Candidates will be required to visit the official website – ets.org to register using any method.

TOEIC Registration Online

The registration can be done online by following four simple steps mentioned below:

• Step 1- Online Form Filling
• Step 2 – Photo Uploading
• Step 3 – Fee Payment
• Step 4 – Receipt Printing

The steps are briefly explained below for the convenience of aspirants:

Step 1:- Fill the Online Form

• Applicants have to visit the official website and click on “Apply Now”.
• They will have to fill the important details asked in the registration form such as background information, name, address and academic details.
• Candidates also have to choose a test day and test center from the drop-down option and reserve a seat of their choice.

Step 2:- Uploading Photo

• A colored, recent digital/scanned photo of the candidate will be to be uploaded at the time of registering online.
• It should be clicked directly facing the camera under good lighting.
• Candidates should not wear sunglasses, caps or any head wears that can cover the face.
• The photo must be less than 5 MB in size.
• It should be in JPEG format.

Step 3:- Payment of Registration Fee

• The registration fee can be paid via Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or JCB.
• The fees depends on test centers and nationality, you can expect to pay around USD 85 per component (Speaking and Writing/ Listening and Reading).

Step 4:- Download and Save Receipt

• A system generated receipt will be popped up once the fee is successfully paid and registration is confirmed.
• The receipt must be saved by the registrants for further reference.
• The admission ticket will be emailed to the applicants.
• Admission ticket will contain the test name, test date, test center, candidate photo and signature.

TOEIC Registration by Mail

TOEIC Registration Fees

The Registration Fees depends on the registrants country, exam center and conducting body – ETS or its institutional partners/language schools and number of tests. The approximate registration fees for the tests have been tabulated below:

TOEIC test is offered every month in a year, and 12 times in a year. You can check the registration dates from the ETS official website. You will need to provide your personal information, and contact details, and choose a test date and location. You will also need to upload a recent photograph and a valid photo ID.

TOEIC score determines your English Proficiency skills to attain a workplace. TOEIC results for Listening and Reading Test range from 10 to 990 points. For Speaking and Writing Test, the total score ranges from 0-400. Your score is based on your proficiency level in Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. You must work on basic reading, grammar, and vocabulary to ace the exam.

How to Get TOEIC Score Certificate?

For TOEIC test score, you must visit the official website of ets.org. You must visit the “Past tests” section of your TOEIC registration account to get the digital score report. For a hard copy of TOEIC exam score report, ETS will send the TOEIC score report to your address as mentioned in your order. The time required to receive the Official TOEIC results depends on the type of exam you attended virtually or in person. If any technical problem or any unexpected issues happen, the score will be delivered at your earliest convenience. TOEIC Listening and Reading Test Scores

In TOEIC exam, you must convert your score level into a 990 point system. It is required to use a conversion grid that categorizes the Listening and Reading tests on 5 – 495 each. In total, as per TOEIC exam pattern, we have to answer 200 questions. This is followed by 100 questions in each section that need to be completed within 2.5 hours. TOEIC scale for Listening and Reading Test is linked to CEFR level A1 to C1. TOEIC proficiency scale is based on the number of questions correctly answered in each section.

TOEIC Score Analysis for Listening and Reading Test

As an aspirant, you should focus on reading stories and magazines and listening to certain events or chat shows to get a good TOEIC score. Check below the TOEIC score analysis for the listening section:

• To get A1 level in TOEIC listening section, give at least 27 correct answers.
• For A2 level, attempt around 35 correct answers.
• For getting B1 level, answer 56 TOEIC questions correctly,
• For B2 level, give 75 correct answers.
• To get C1 level, focus on giving at least 89 answers correctly.

For TOEIC reading section, check the score analysis for different levels:

• Attempt 30 questions correctly for the A1 level and 39 correct answers for A2 level.
• You must give 63 correct answers for achieving B1 level and 84 correct answers for B2 level.
• To get C1 level TOEIC reading score, attain at least 96 answers correctly.

TOEIC Score Conversion Table

For each correct answer, you will receive one mark in listening and reading TOEIC sections. As there are 100 questions in each section, you will receive 100 marks for each. TOEIC Speaking and Writing Test Scores

In TOEIC Speaking and Writing section, your efficiency in oral and written English is tested for attaining workplace. You must practice speaking and watch YouTube videos and movies to enhance your English-speaking skills. There is no need to focus on accent or grammar while speaking. Further, you must practice writing short articles to improve your writing skills. Writing effectively is now a must for sending emails for business purposes, and it must be convincing. The Speaking Test and Writing Test are scored on a scale of 10 to 200 points each. Total test is scored from 20 to 400. You can take TOEIC tests together or separately, and results will follow accordingly. Digital scores are available in your online account within 10–15 business days. For good TOEIC preparation, use Cambridge vocabulary and short essay writing books.

TOEIC Speaking Test Score

In TOEIC speaking section, you will get 11 questions to be answered within 20 minutes. There are 1 – 9 questions that are scored on a scale of 0 – 3. Questions 10 – 11 are scored on a scale of 0 – 5. The test is scored on a scale of 0 – 200. Scores are associated with 8 proficiency levels. Correlated to CEFR levels of A1 to C1. TOEIC Writing Test Scores

For TOEIC writing section, you have to attend 8 questions that must be completed within 60 minutes. In this section, 1 – 5 questions are scored on a scale of 0 – 3. Questions 6 – 7 are scored on a scale of 0 – 5. Question 8 is scored on a scale of 0 – 5. The test is scored on a scale of 0 – 200. Scores are associated with 9 proficiency levels. TOEIC Bridge Test

TOEIC Bridge Test measures the reading and listening skills of aspirants to use in real-life work situations. You will get 50 MCQ that need to be done in 1 hour. This test is not a pass or fail test. You will be placed within a score range in TOEIC exam result. The score range will determine your English reading and listening proficiency levels. You will get TOEIC perfect score on the basis of correct answers you give. This score will be converted to a scaled score. You will get the total score by summing up scaled scores of both sections. The score ranges for total scores from 30-100. Here given below is the derivation of TOEIC exam score level for each Reading and Listening section:

• Listening Test: Scaled Score of 15 – 50

• Referred to CEFR level A1 to B1.

TOEIC Scores to CEFR levels A1 to C2

Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) determines your level of skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking in English language. Its framework is broken into three main groups:

After giving the TOEIC exam, you will receive TOEIC scores within 7-10 business days. The ETS-certified raters score the responses as Human Rating. The score criteria vary as per the requirements of organizations. 75-80% is considered a good score. This TOEIC results meaning you have attained score above 740 which is good for getting into a business. However, TOEIC score of 900 is considered as an excellent score that ensures your high level of English proficiency in Business grounds.
