WB JECA Eligibility Criteria 2025

WB JECA is a postgraduate-level exam conducted once every year by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB). Candidates must fulfill the following requirements to be eligible for the exam.

General Eligibility

Only Indian citizens can apply for WB JECA 2025. The candidate must be at least 17 years old as of 31st December 2025.

The candidate must have been born on or before 31st December 2004. There is no upper age limit for most courses.

For marine engineering, the upper age limit is 25 years as of 31st December 2025.

Qualification Eligibility for Engineering

Candidates must have passed the 10+2 level or an equivalent exam. The exam must be recognized by the Central Government or the concerned State Government.

Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects at the 10+2 level. Candidates must also have passed any one of these subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or Computer Application.

Candidates need 45% marks in the qualifying subjects. Reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD) need 40% marks.

English is also required. Candidates must have qualified English at the 10+2 level with a minimum of 30% marks.

Qualification Eligibility for Pharmacy

Students must have passed the 12th level or its equivalent from a recognized board or university. Physics and Chemistry are mandatory subjects.

Students must also pass any one of these subjects: Mathematics, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or Computer Application. General category students need 45% marks, and reserved category candidates need 40% marks.
