Dr. Yugantara R. Kadam is an accomplished academician with over 33 years of teaching experience, including 15 years as a postgraduate teacher. She currently serves as the Dean of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Deemed to be University (KIMSDU). In her earlier roles, she also led the Medical Education Unit and the University Education Technology Cell, contributing significantly to faculty development and academic innovation. A committed member of the Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (IAPSM), Dr. Kadam brings a strong research background to her leadership. She has published 44 research papers in indexed journals and delivered nearly 30 presentations at various academic forums. She has successfully mentored three ICMR Short Term Studentship (STS) projects and currently serves as the co-investigator in an ICMR-funded community health intervention study. Dr. Kadam is widely recognized for her expertise in public health education. She has delivered impactful lectures on critical topics such as adolescent health, HIV/AIDS, nutrition, cancer, reproductive health, and gender equity. Her active involvement with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) includes conducting numerous academic sessions and lectures, significantly enriching the broader medical education landscape. Additionally, her role as a resource person in training programs on Medical Education Technology, Research Methodology, and the Revised National Tuberculosis Control Program (RNTCP) has been instrumental in advancing the professional development of both faculty and students. Driven by a deep passion for teaching and a commitment to academic excellence, Dr. Kadam continues to shape the future of public health education at KIMSDU.
