An unstable social and environmental system can hurt a business's profit by making operations more expensive.</p>
<p>The only way to deal with the negative environmental and social impact of business is to turn these threats into opportunities for improvement. The PGPSM helps future managers understand the changing nature of sustainability challenges and develop integrated solutions.</p>

<p>Sustainability is an emerging field, and IIM Lucknow is among the few institutes in India to have started a Sustainable Management Programme. The curriculum evolves continuously to match new knowledge in the field.</p>
<p>The programme has modern infrastructure, including audio-video enabled classrooms, a library with an extensive book collection, and access to industries and corporate leaders.</p>
<p>The academic routine includes lectures, case discussions, exercises, seminars, role plays, and management games. These methods help students understand theoretical concepts through application-oriented learning.</p>
<p>Team-based assignments, term papers, project work, presentations, and computer-based learning help students build skills for working in multicultural and multi-functional teams.</p>
