To apply for B.Tech through HSTES 2026, you must have passed Class 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects in Class 12.

• Compulsory subjects: Physics and Mathematics are mandatory in Class 12.
• Third subject: You must have studied Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Computer Science as the third subject alongside Physics and Maths.

HSTES 2026 Counselling Process

The official portal at techadmissionshry.gov.in maintains a section called "Last Year’s Opening and Closing Rank Cutoffs." This shows institute-wise and branch-wise JEE Main closing ranks from 2025 for each category. Check it before finalizing your Round 2 choices.

Results are declared on the official HSTES portal. You must log in to check your seat allotment result after the scheduled declaration time.

For B.Tech and B.Arch, the Round 2 seat allotment result is expected on July 7, 2026. In 2025, the Round 2 result was declared within 1–2 days of the choice-filling window closing, and a similar timeline is expected this year.

For Diploma Engineering, the Round 2 seat allotment result is scheduled for July 1, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Candidates who filled and locked choices between June 26–30 should log in to the official portal after 5:00 PM to check their result.

After the result is declared, you must report to your allotted institute with all original documents within the reporting window. Missing the reporting deadline means forfeiture of the allotted seat.
