What is GLAET 2026?

GLAET 2026 is the GLA University Entrance Test conducted by GLA University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. The exam is held for admission to more than 71 undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programmes, including B.Tech, MBA, BCA, BBA, and B.Pharm.

The exam is held in an online Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. Candidates can book a flexible slot at more than 60 centres across India. Results are declared within 24 hours of appearing for the exam.

GLA University is also known as Ganeshi Lal Agrawal University. The university is NAAC A+ accredited and is ranked in the 101-150 band in the NIRF 2025 Overall Rankings. GLAET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

GLAET 2026 eligibility differs by programme. Before applying, check that you meet the academic qualification and minimum marks requirement for your chosen course.

For B.Tech, you must also have passed Class 10 with at least 40% marks from a recognised board. The minimum age for B.Tech and BBA is 16 years as of the year of admission. For B.Pharm, the minimum age requirement is 17 years.

GLA University does not prescribe any maximum age limit for GLAET 2026. Candidates from any state or board can apply — there is no domicile restriction for this university-level exam.

GLAET 2026 Application Process

The GLAET 2026 application is fully online at gla.ac.in. The entire process — from registration to slot booking and admit card download — takes around 15 to 20 minutes if your documents are ready.

Step 2 — Create Your Account

Register using your name, email ID, and mobile number. You will receive your registration number and a system-generated password via SMS and email. Save these — you will need them to log in later.

Log in with your credentials and fill in your personal details, academic information (board/university name, passing year, marks or expected percentage), and your preferred course.

GLAET 2026 Application Process

The GLAET 2026 application is completed online through the official GLA University website. The process has seven steps, from registration to admit card download.

Mathematics carries the highest weightage with 45 questions worth 180 marks — 50% of the total B.Tech score. English has only 5 questions but still carries 20 marks that can affect merit ranking.

General Knowledge, Reasoning Ability, and English Language each carry equal weight at 20 questions and 80 marks. Quantitative Aptitude has 15 questions and is the smallest section.

GLAET 2026 Syllabus — English

The English section has 5 questions for 20 marks and covers basic grammar rules, vocabulary, and reading comprehension at the Class 12 level. Common question formats include fill in the blanks, error identification, sentence completion, and short reading passages with questions.

For MBA applicants, the English section in GLAET 2026 is more detailed, covering reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, sentence correction, and verbal reasoning. General Knowledge tests current affairs, static GK, and business awareness. Quantitative Aptitude for MBA covers arithmetic, algebra, data interpretation, and basic statistics.

GLAET 2026 Admit Card

The GLAET 2026 admit card is not released on a single announced date. It is generated automatically and immediately once a candidate completes the exam slot booking during the application process. This is one of the unique features of GLAET — you get your admit card as soon as you confirm your exam date and centre.

To download your GLAET 2026 admit card, log in to your account at gla.ac.in with your registration number and password. The admit card is available in the candidate portal under 'My Applications' or the 'Admit Card' section.

Your GLAET 2026 admit card will carry the following information:

• Candidate's name and registration number
• Exam date, reporting time, and exam start time
• Test centre name and full address
• Programme applied for
• Photograph and signature as uploaded during registration
• Important exam day instructions and rules

You must carry a printed copy of your GLAET 2026 admit card to the test centre. Entry will not be allowed without it. Also carry a valid government-issued photo ID — Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, voter ID, or driving licence. Both documents must be originals.

If there are any errors on your admit card — such as a wrong name, date, or centre — contact the GLA University admissions team at +91-5662-250900 before your exam date. Errors cannot be corrected on exam day itself.

GLAET 2026 Result

GLAET 2026 results are declared on a rolling, per-candidate basis. Unlike national exams that have a single result date for all candidates, GLA University declares each candidate's result within 24 hours of them appearing in the exam. So if you appeared on June 20, your result would be available on June 21.

To check your GLAET 2026 result, follow these steps:

Your GLAET 2026 scorecard will show your total score, subject-wise marks, and your merit rank. Note that your rank may shift as more candidates appear during the window — the final merit rank is confirmed only after the full exam window closes.

After the exam window closes (expected by early-to-mid July 2026), GLA University will publish a consolidated final merit list for all qualified GLAET 2026 candidates. Counselling will begin shortly after this list is released, expected in the second week of July 2026.

GLA University also accepts JEE Main 2026 scores alongside GLAET scores for B.Tech admissions. If your JEE Main 2026 score is higher than your GLAET score, GLA University will consider the JEE Main score for merit ranking — giving you the benefit of whichever performance is stronger.

GLAET 2026 Cutoff

GLA University does not declare a single official cutoff score for GLAET before counselling. Admission cutoffs are determined after counselling ends, based on the total number of applicants, scores secured, and seat availability for each programme. The GLAET 2026 cutoff will be published at gla.ac.in after the counselling rounds conclude in July 2026.

B.Tech CSE and AI and ML are the most competitive programmes at GLA University. They consistently carry higher cutoffs compared to other branches. For these specialisations, aim for a score of 150 or above out of 360 to be safe. For Mechanical and Civil Engineering, a score of 100 or above has generally been sufficient in previous years. The 2026 cutoff may shift if the number of applicants or the difficulty level of the exam changes significantly.

GLAET 2026 Counselling and Seat Allotment

GLAET 2026 counselling is conducted by GLA University. It is expected to begin in the second week of July 2026, after the exam window closes and the final merit list is released. Counselling is the stage where your GLAET score is used to allot you a seat in your preferred programme and specialisation.

The GLAET 2026 counselling process has these steps:

• Merit List Release: After the GLAET 2026 exam window closes, GLA University publishes a final merit list on gla.ac.in. Candidates are ranked based on their GLAET score — or their JEE Main 2026 score, whichever is higher — within each programme category.
• Counselling Registration: Shortlisted candidates register for counselling on the official portal. A counselling registration fee is charged at this stage — the amount is announced when counselling opens. Only candidates who register are eligible for seat allotment.
• Choice Filling: Registered candidates fill in their course and specialisation preferences in order of priority through the counselling portal. Seat allotment depends directly on your merit rank and the choices you submit.
• Seat Allotment: GLA University releases the seat allotment result based on merit rank and course preferences. Most candidates receive a seat in their first or second preference in the first allotment round.
• Document Verification: Allotted candidates must report to GLA University's Mathura campus with the following original documents and self-attested photocopies:

Preparation Tips for GLAET 2026

GLAET 2026 is based on Class 11 and 12 NCERT topics. The questions are generally NCERT-level, not as application-heavy as JEE Main.

Start with Your NCERT Books

The GLAET syllabus closely follows NCERT Class 11 and 12 textbooks for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Revise each chapter and pay attention to in-text examples and end-of-chapter questions.

Most GLAET questions are directly traceable to NCERT content.

Give Maximum Time to Mathematics

Mathematics carries 45 out of 90 questions in B.Tech GLAET — that is half the paper. Spend at least 40 to 45% of your daily study time on Mathematics.

Focus on Calculus (Integration and Differentiation), Algebra (Matrices, Determinants, Quadratic Equations), and Coordinate Geometry (Conic Sections, Straight Lines).

Practice MCQs Every Day

GLAET 2026 is fully MCQ-based. Practising MCQs daily is the best preparation strategy.

Try to attempt 30 to 40 MCQs per session from each subject. This also builds speed and helps you get comfortable with the multiple-choice format under a time limit.

Be Smart with Negative Marking

GLAET 2026 deducts 1 mark for each wrong answer. If you are not sure about a question, skip it rather than guess.

• Attempting 70 questions with 60 correct and 10 wrong gives you 230 marks (240 minus 10).
• Attempting all 90 with 60 correct and 30 wrong gives you only 210 marks (240 minus 30).

Application Fee

The GLAET 2026 application fee is Rs 1,000 for most programmes. This includes B.Tech, BCA, B.Pharm, MBA, MCA, and M.Tech.

The fee is Rs 500 for D.Pharm, Diploma in Engineering, and B.Ed. The fee is the same for all categories — General, OBC, SC, ST, and PwD.

Payment Failure

If your payment fails or the money is debited without a confirmation, wait 48–72 hours before retrying. The amount is auto-refunded or the receipt updates in your dashboard within that window.

Do not pay again immediately. Duplicate payments are not auto-reconciled.

Only one application per student is permitted. Multiple submissions are rejected during verification and the application fee is not refunded.

Editing the Application Form
