OUAT 2026 is the Undergraduate Combined Entrance Examination (UG CEE) conducted by Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar. The exam is held for admission to B.Sc. Form B (Course and College Preference)

Form B is the course and college preference submission form. It is mandatory for seat allotment in the counselling process.

Candidates who appeared in the exam on July 1 or 2, 2026 must submit their course and college preferences through Form B before July 6, 2026. Without Form B submission, a candidate will not be considered for seat allotment during counselling, regardless of their rank.

Biology vs Mathematics: Which Section to Choose?

You must choose your optional section when registering in Form A. Your choice should depend on the program you are applying for.

• Choose Biology if you are applying for B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Sc. Horticulture, B.Sc. Forestry, B.F.Sc., B.Sc. Community Science, or B.V.Sc. & A.H. These programs prefer a PCB background.
• Choose Mathematics if you are applying for B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering. This program requires a PCM background.

Biology carries 34% of total marks (68 questions). It is the highest-weighted single section. Agriculture-stream students should prioritise Biology heavily to maximise their score.

How Is the OUAT 2026 Merit Rank Calculated?

Your entrance exam score alone does not decide your final rank. OUAT uses a composite merit formula.

Tie-Breaking Rules

If two candidates have the same composite merit score, OUAT resolves the tie in this order:

• Higher marks in the OUAT 2026 entrance exam
• If still tied: higher marks in Class 12

1. Master NCERT Textbooks First

OUAT questions are almost entirely from NCERT Class 11 and 12. Completing NCERT Biology, Chemistry, and Physics thoroughly — including in-text questions, examples, and chapter exercises — covers the entire OUAT syllabus.

Do not pick up heavy reference books before finishing NCERT.

2. Prioritise Biology (PCB Students)

Biology carries 68 marks — the single largest section — and is also the most scoring for well-prepared students. Spend at least 40% of revision time on Biology.

High-yield chapters are:

• Genetics and Evolution: Mendelian genetics, DNA replication, mutations, Hardy-Weinberg law
• Ecology: Ecosystems, biodiversity, population ecology, environmental issues

How to Fill OUAT 2025 Application Form

First, you must register with your valid email ID and mobile number. Following this, a mobile and email OTP verification must be done.

You will be redirected to a separate page for filling in personal details, communication details, choice of minimum 3 test centers, and subject preference. According to OUAT 2025 image uploading guidelines, you must also upload your photograph and signature within the 200 KB size limit.

OUAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualifications

• UG Courses: Candidates must obtain at least 50% marks (40% aggregate for reserved category and PwD candidates) in the qualifying exam of higher secondary or equivalent level. They should have opted for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology as compulsory subjects depending on the course they wish to pursue.
• PG Courses: Students must have secured at least 60% aggregate or 6.60/10 OGPA (50% marks or 5.60/10 CGPA for reserved category and PwD candidates) in the qualifying exam of the respective Bachelor's degree.
• Doctorate Courses: Candidates should have obtained at least 65% marks or an OGPA of 7 on a 10-point scale in the Master's degree examination.

Nationality

Indian nationals domiciled in the state of Orissa as well as applicants of foreign origin can apply for the entrance test. The domicile requirement of candidates will be given in the prospectus.

Foreign nationals should meet the academic eligibility criteria to be admitted into the courses offered by the university. They must note that they will have a separate admission process.

Age Limit

The lower age limit for all UG courses is 17 years as of December 31, 2025. The university has not prescribed any upper age limit for PG and Ph.D. courses.
