IIT Bombay will announce the IIT JAM 2026 result on 20 March 2026. Candidates can check their results and download the scorecard on the official website https://jam.iitm.ac.in/.

IIT JAM 2026 Scorecard

The IIT JAM 2026 scorecard will be available for download from March 27 to July 31, 2026. The score is valid for only one year.

IIT Bombay will also issue the All India Merit List along with the scorecard. This list will show the number of candidates registered, appeared, and qualified, along with category-wise cut-offs for each paper.

• A late fee window was available until October 14, 2025 for candidates who missed the regular deadline.

IIT JAM 2026 Conducting Institute

IIT Bombay will conduct the IIT JAM 2026 exam. The exam is held in coordination with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and the IITs.

• One IIT is selected every year to manage and coordinate the exam.
• For 2026, IIT Bombay has been given the responsibility of conducting the exam.

IIT JAM 2026 Scorecard

The IIT JAM 2026 scorecard will be available for download from 5 April to 31 July 2026. Candidates must log in with their Enrolment ID and Password to get it.

• The scorecard is required for M.Sc. admissions, integrated Ph.D. programs, and other postgraduate courses at IITs, IISc, and participating institutes.
• After 31 July 2026, a candidate can get the scorecard by paying a late fee of ₹500 per test paper. This facility is available up to 31 December 2026.

IIT JAM 2026 Expected Cut-off

The IIT JAM 2026 cutoff is not known because the exam has not been held. Candidates can estimate the minimum qualifying marks by looking at previous years' trends.

Validity of IIT JAM Scores

The IIT JAM score is valid for one year from the date of result announcement. Candidates can take admission based on their scores during this period.

• Admissions are offered to M.Sc., Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, and other postgraduate programs at IITs, IISc, and participating institutes.
• A candidate who wants to improve performance can appear in the next year's exam.

Changes in IIT JAM 2026

IIT JAM 2026 has a few important updates to make the exam more accessible. A new paper called Data Science (MA-DS) has been added to reflect emerging interdisciplinary areas.

• The application fee structure has changed. The new rates are ₹1900 for General/OBC candidates and ₹950 for Female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates for one test paper.
