The research activities of our group can be broadly classified as the development and exploration of various nanostructured materials for Energy Storage and Conversion Systems, which include Water Electrolyzers, Fuel Cells, Batteries, and supercapacitors. We are involved in carrying out both basic and applied research within these systems. We research the electrochemical behavior of materials, with a motto of developing systems towards technological readiness level. We investigate various 2D materials, particularly Carbon Nanostructures, Chalcogenides, Oxides, Nitrides and Carbides. My research group is dedicated in studying the structure-activity correlation of materials for energy systems. AEEM Lab is closely collaborating with various National and International research teams to exploit the fundamental electrochemical beauty of materials for realization in real-time applications.

Numerous cutting-edge technical applications, such as large-scale, electrochemical devices, inexpensive photovoltaics, energy-efficient light emitters, and other energy-related applications, as well as flexible electronics, are showing an increasing interest in these functional materials. The functional materials group's research focuses on nanomaterials for use in renewable energy applications. Nano-structured materials such as perovskite, spinel, and hybrid composite materials are synthesized for various energy applications such as fuel cells, photovoltaic, supercapacitor, and photocatalytic hydrogen generation applications. Our goal is to reduce the cost of energy generation, use, and storage to change the energy landscape through the discovery and incorporation of innovative, low-cost functional materials in energy devices

We are the group working on novel nano drug delivery systems for advanced therapeutics towards cancer and rheumatoid arthritis. The trust areas of this laboratory which includes nanobiotechnology, advanced drug delivery systems, cancer research and nano formulations for skin care applications. This laboratory provides training for internship students in the area of translational research for diagnosis and treatment of various diseases, in-depth molecular biology studies related to various infectious diseases, cancer and rheumatoid arthritis.
