Overview

The Medical College Admission Test assesses knowledge and skills essential for success in medical school. It covers four sections: Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems; Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills; Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems; and Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior. The exam tests scientific concepts, problem-solving, and reading comprehension. A high MCAT score strengthens an application to US and Canadian medical schools by demonstrating readiness for the rigorous curriculum.
