In addition to the module leaders, fifteen course leaders and a total of 100 to 120 lecturers will impart their knowledge throughout the programme.

David Atienza Alonso is the Associate Vice-President of Research Center and Platforms at EPFL, a professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and director of the Embedded Systems Laboratory (ESL) at EPFL, Switzerland. He received his MSc and Ph.D. degrees in computer science and engineering from UCM, Spain, and IMEC, Belgium, in 2001 and 2005, respectively. His research interests include the design of smart edge AI devices and low-power Internet-of-Thing (IoT) systems, as well as novel sustainable computing architectures for cloud computing and data centers design. He has worked extensively in edge AI architectures for wireless body sensor nodes and smart embedded systems, and HW/SW reconfigurable systems for AI and Machine Learning systems, with key companies worldwide (IBM, Microsoft, Meta, Apple, Huawei, TI, Oracle, HP, Intel, etc.).

Pierre-Etienne Bourban is a research scientist in materials science and lecturer at EPFL. After his Ph.D. he worked on the assembly of hybrid materials at the Center for Composite Materials at the University of Delaware in USA. Then at EPFL his research themes have been related to the processing of composites such as non-isothermal bonding, consolidation of textiles preforms, thermoforming of sandwiches, liquid moulding of reactive thermoplastic composites, foaming and 3D printing of sustainable composites, tailoring of hydrogel composites. He has been coordinating the EPFL Sport and Rehabilitation Programme, is active in projects on biocomposites and is the director of the EPFL-Discovery Learnings Labs in Engineering and Materials/Bioengineering.

Dr. Juan Carlos Landrove holds substantial expertise in transactional matters, litigation and international sports and commercial arbitration in Switzerland, the European Union, Latin America and the United States. EDUCATION Juan Carlos Landrove holds law degrees from Geneva (Switzerland) and Madrid (Spain), an LL.M. in Comparative Jurisprudence from New York (USA) and a Ph.D. (summa cum laude) from Lucerne (Switzerland). He is licensed (Bar Exam) to practice law in Geneva, Madrid and New York. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Juan Carlos Landrove has been working as an attorney-at-law in Geneva, Madrid, Zurich, New York and Washington D.C. since 1994 and is currently a practicing attorney in Geneva with his own law office. He advises multinational companies and individuals in international legal disputes of commercial nature (including sport disputes) decided by court or arbitral proceedings. In parallel, he has kept a link with academics by notably working successively as a research and teaching assistant and lecturer at the Universities of Geneva and Lausanne, as well as at the EPFL. In 2006, he has been appointed senior lecturer at the HEC Business School and currently teaches prevention and management of legal disputes and Business Law, both at Bachelor and Master level. Since 2011, he serves as Director of the Law Module (and Scientific Committee member) of the Master in Sports Administration and Technology where he started teaching back in 2008. He is also invited on a yearly basis to teach block courses to candidates of several MAS, notably in the EPFL IML – MAS Global Supply Chain Management.
