Established in 1977 through the merger of Durham Technical College and Neville's Cross College, New College Durham has since become one of County Durham's premier providers of Higher and Further Education. With a rich history dating back to 1921, when Neville's Cross College was founded to train teachers, and later, in 1957, when Durham Technical College emerged to support the mining industry, the institution has continuously evolved to meet the changing needs of its community. Today, New College Durham offers an extensive range of programmes spanning arts, business, engineering, health, social work,and more, catering to both domestic and international students.
