History
Penn State University was founded in 1855. In the early 1900s, the university introduced Co-operative Education and additional outreach programming. In 1967, a College of Medicine and Teaching Hospital was established. Then, in 1989, the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport became an affiliate of the university. In 2000, Penn State and Dickinson School of Law merged. This means that the university now stands on two Law schools - Dickinson Law and Penn State Law.
