Studying at THWS is characterised by particular orientation towards application and practice. Our students, therefore, not only do project work and internships during their studies. In consultation of the Bavarian Ministry of Science and members of the world of business, the curricula are devised in order to optimally prepare students for the requirements of companies and their future professional life. All our lecturers have profound professional experience and many of them worked in companies before joining THWS.
In the last decades, numerous cooperations with companies have been concluded. In addition to the cooperation within dual cooperative studies, project and final theses are created, which deal with specific issues from industry and business.
In order to support promising young professionals while they are still studying, the national scholarship Deutschlandstipendium is an excellent opportunity for companies. After 23 years of its own job fair Praxisforum, THWS now participates in the job fair JOBMESSE study&stay offered by Universität Würzburg GmbH. With this, THWS continues to foster the communication and information exchange between companies and students. In addition, companies can act as sponsors or support certain events of THWS and/or the THWS CareerService for image purposes. There is also the possibility to place an ad in our study guide.
Among many other Bavarian higher education institutions THWS supports the joint online job exchange Hochschul-Jobbörse. There, companies have the opportunity to place job ads themselves and select the parameters for publication online.
Our Campus for Professional Development and Language Proficiency has offers available for companies, industry and institutions which can be used by them and their employees for further training and continuing education. The main advantage here is the closeness to science and research at THWS.

The THWS research database Forscherdatenbank provides an overview of teaching and research activities of THWS personnel. By this database new possibilities for research cooperations, networks and the transfer of knowledge are created. The tool is supposed to support everyone inside and outside of THWS to find the right contact person. Internal use may comprise finding contacts for research announcements, research and development projects or support for internal processes; interested third-parties can use it to find specialists for commissions or partners for establishing research consortia. Note that the database is currently only available in German.
