Scholarships
German public universities try to establish lower financial dependence of students with numerous scholarships and subsidised education. There are both scholarship programs for studying at RPTU and external funding programs.

Especially, engineering and computer science departments facilitate internships and financial scholarships, and aid opportunities from top global brands like Bosch, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, etc.

Talented and committed first-year students and later semester students are supported with EUR 300 per month under the government Deutschland stipendium (Germany Scholarship).

There are more than 156 scholarship holders every year, and in total, more than 1600 scholarships have been awarded by RPTU to date.
Types of scholarships

DAAD STIBET (Stipendium und Betreuungsprogramm) is the scholarship and support program for international students who wish to study at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. The application is done online with a form in the RHRK circular. For further information, you can refer to the university’s official website.

Final stage scholarship is for those students who face difficulty in completing their degree and have fallen on hard times through no fault of their own. The application is eligible for those who have achieved good grades and at least 24 credit points per semester and are expected to complete their studies within one year.

Scholarships for internally committed students help students with good grades and at least 24 credit points per semester, in addition to outstanding commitment in an international context.

Scholarship for gifted students who especially distinguish themselves through social commitment, for example, student representation, student parliament, student projects (if no remuneration is paid) or commitment outside the university (e.g. long-term voluntary work, taking on responsibility in associations and initiatives)

Excellence scholarships benefit all the students who wish to go abroad via RPTU for those who have achieved good grades and at least 24 credit points.
