Temple University History
Temple University was first established in 1884 by the Grace Baptist Church of Philadelphia and a Baptist Minister and is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. The university was granted its charter status by Philadelphia in 1888 in order to establish the Temple College of Philadelphia and it first had an enrollment of 600 students on campus. Later in 1907, Temple College had revised its institutional status and became Temple University.
